Wanhua Chemical proudly presents WANAMINE® 2111 and WANAMINE® 2300, two innovative, cycloaliphatic amine curing agents designed to extend the pot life when used in epoxy systems; these products deliver superior performance, including exceptional compatibility with various resins and additives, high gloss, superior UV resistance, and remarkable thermal stability (with a Tg range between150 and 160℃). Both products notably enhance the pot life and additionally, bring possibilities for short-term outdoor use. The unique features of each product empower different applications. WANAMINE® 2111 is a liquid cycloaliphatic diamine with low viscosity, enabling low VOC usage. It is widely employed in the coating, adhesive, and liquid composite molding (LCM) industries, offering distinct advantages. ● Floorings, Coatings, and Linings: WANAMINE® 2111 minimizes amine blushing and water spotting and provides excellent chemical resistance, especially towards ketones and organic acids. ● LCM: The epoxy resin systems using WANAMINE® 2111 exhibit superior processability and mechanical properties (see Table 1). During curing, it maintains low viscosity, ensuring effective infiltration of fibers/fabrics and moderate heat release. WANAMINE® 2300 is a solid cycloaliphatic amine with high hardness and long pot life, it is primarily utilized in coating applications. ● Mid to High-end Epoxy Coatings and Adhesives: WANAMINE® 2300 provides exceptional adhesive strength and high gloss, making it a preferred choice. ● Metal Pipes and Exterior Anti-corrosion Linings: WANAMINE® 2300 offers outstanding resistance to acids and alkalis, particularly hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. We developed an eco-friendly alcoholysis process that fully degrades and regenerates foam from discarded refrigerators and freezers. WANNATE® HT-500——Superior Multi-Functional Coating Hardener WANNATE® HT-500 is a high-performance polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), attaining exceptional drying properties, superior gloss retention, and outstanding mechanical properties. This product is optimally suitable for high-solid coatings, waterborne coatings, and polyaspartics, among other applications. Application 1 : Solvent-based 2K PU coatings Formulations incorporating HT-500 in solvent-based coatings demonstrate rapid drying capabilities and excellent hardness establishment during the curing process. Additionally, these coatings exhibit remarkable mechanical performance and enhanced chemical resistance post-curing. Application 2 : Waterborne 2K PU coatings WANNATE® HT-500 is particularly suitable for waterborne systems or the synthesis of waterborne hardeners, attributed to its low viscosity (400~1000 mPa·s) and high NCO content (22.5~24.5%). ➢ When employed directly in waterborne systems or in conjunction with hydrophilic hardeners, it significantly enhances the coating’s chemical and water resistance. ➢ When utilized in synthesizing hydrophilic hardeners, it imparts a high NCO content and low viscosity, thereby improving manual stirring and dispersibility and enhancing workability.
