🌍 【#COP29 in Action】 The main agenda item for COP29 is adopting the New Collective Quantified Goal (#NCQG). One of the most hotly contested topics around NCQG is the role that emerging economies like China should play.  To help address this challenge, new research from #WRI presents a fuller picture of the climate finance China has been providing and mobilizing to support other developing countries' climate actions. 🌍 【#COP29 in Focus】 One of the most closely watched topics at COP29 is "new collective quantified goal on climate finance" (#NCQG). The new finance goal will channel greater funds toward urgently needed climate action in developing countries. 🌿 【#COP16】 The 2024 United Nations Biodiversity Conference (#CBD) concluded on November 2, 2024, in Cali, Colombia. The #WRIChina, along with partners, played a key role in advancing several significant initiatives. On October 25, WRIChina, the #RainforestFoundationNorway (#RFN), and the #PartnershipforBiodiversityFinance (#PBF) co-hosted a seminar at COP16 focused on the sustainable mining of critical minerals within the world's three major rainforests.
