🌍 【#COP29 in Action】 The main agenda item for COP29 is adopting the New Collective Quantified Goal (#NCQG). One of the most hotly contested topics around NCQG is the role that emerging economies like China should play. To help address this challenge, new research from #WRI presents a fuller picture of the climate finance China has been providing and mobilizing to support other developing countries' climate actions. We estimate that China's climate finance provision averaged close to $4.5 billion per year between 2013 and 2022. 📘 Read the full report 👉 [https://lnkd.in/gbXBYTsp] Read the report highlights 👉 [https://lnkd.in/gkAnvCt7] #NCQG #ClimateFinance #COP29 #SouthSouthCooperation #SustainableInvestment
关于我们
Over 1,000 experts and staff work in more than 100 cities of 60 countries. We have institutional offices in Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico and the United States; regional hubs in Ethiopia (for Africa) and the Netherlands (for Europe) and program offices in Istanbul, Kinshasa and London. In China, we work on four urgent challenges: Climate and Energy, Sustainable cities , Food & Land, and Belt and Road Initiative(BRI). that must be addressed to reduce poverty, grow economies and protect natural systems: In 2008, WRI opened its first international office in Beijing, China. It supported China’s national strategy on environmental protection and sustainable development in major areas including synergic control and prevention of air pollution, coordinated management of water quality, water ecology and water resources, green finance and capacity building of environmental governance. WRI holds an official registration in China as a foreign NGO, as the certificate was issued by Beijing Public Security Bureau in November, 2017. With the registration, WRI advances its work on environment and sustainability in China with a new legal status—Beijing Representative Office, under the guidance and support of the public security agency and the Ministry of Environmental Protection (current Ministry of Ecology and Environment) as supervisor.
