We are excited to announce the successful completion of the Agri-food Digital Transition & Sustainability Bootcamp! This transformative event aimed at connecting and upskilling the Agri-food ecosystem in Cyprus, supporting the adaptation of technological solutions to create a more innovative and sustainable Agri-food industry. The bootcamp featured expert panels and workshops on the innovative uses of technology in the Agri-food industry, how to access funding opportunities, and the technological tools available to drive sustainable Agri-food practices. The bootcamp brought together individuals at all stages of their Agri-food journey, whether they had a new idea for a startup or were currently running an Agri-food business. Special thanks to all the participants, speakers, host and supporters who made this event a success! Την Τρίτη 18 Ιουνίου 2024, ο Ευρωπαϊκός Κόμβος Ψηφιακής Καινοτομίας για την Κύπρο, DiGiNN, πραγματοποίησε ανοικτή εκδήλωση στο Κέντρο Αριστείας CYENS, με σκοπό να φέρει σε επαφή Δημόσιους Οργανισμούς και Μικρομεσαίες Επιχειρήσεις (ΜμΕ). Το DiGiNN (European Digital Innovation Hub Cyprus), είναι μία κοινοπραξία 11 οργανισμών του δημοσίου και ιδιωτικού τομέα, εκ των οποίων και το CYENS, που δημιουργήθηκε από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή στο πλαίσιο του Προγράμματος «Ψηφιακή Ευρώπη». Στόχος του η ενίσχυση της ψηφιακής ικανότητας της Κύπρου, και η διευκόλυνση της ευρείας ενσωμάτωσης των ψηφιακών τεχνολογιών από κυπριακές μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις, τους δημόσιους οργανισμούς και τα Υπουργεία. Μέσω σειράς εκδηλώσεων δικτύωσης GovTech, το DiGiNN διευκολύνει ένα ακμάζον οικοσύστημα όπου η κυβέρνηση και οι ΜμΕ μπορούν να συνδημιουργήσουν καινοτόμες λύσεις και να αναπτύξουν συνεργασίες. Ταυτόχρονα, παρέχει μια πλατφόρμα για ουσιαστικές συνδέσεις μεταξύ του δημόσιου και του ιδιωτικού τομέα, καθώς και υπηρεσίες υποστήριξης ψηφιακής αναβάθμισης όπως: υπηρεσίες ή/και προϊόντα που αφορούν στην Υπολογιστική υψηλών επιδόσεων (High Performance Computing), Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη (Artificial Intelligence), Κυβερνοασφάλεια (Cybersecurity), αξιοποίηση χρηματοδοτικών προγραμμάτων και ιδιωτικών επενδύσεων, εξατομικευμένη εκπαίδευση σε ψηφιακές δεξιότητες, και διαμεσολάβηση για τη δημιουργία επαφών μεταξύ βιομηχανίας, επιχειρήσεων και δημόσιου τομέα. Οι παρευρισκόμενοι παρακολούθησαν σύντομες παρουσιάσεις από την Γενική Διευθύντρια του DiGiNN, κυρία Άνοιξη Αντωνακούδη και την κυρία η Νάντια Λόρτζιε, Συντονίστρια Στρατηγικής του έργου της Έξυπνης Πόλης που υλοποιεί ο Δήμος Λευκωσίας στο σύγχρονο Κέντρο Διαχείρισης και Ελέγχου Έξυπνης Πόλης, Nicosia Smart City. Επιπλέον, ενημερώθηκαν για τις τελευταίες εξελίξεις στον τομέα του GovTech, και για το πώς η τεχνολογία μπορεί να βελτιώσει σημαντικά τις δημόσιες υπηρεσίες και να υποστηρίξει το επιχειρηματικό οικοσύστημα. Το DiGiNN συγχρηματοδοτείται από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή και το Υφυπουργείο Έρευνας, Καινοτομίας και Ψηφιακής Πολιτικής της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας.   On the 5th of June 2024, DiGiNN organized a training for the officers of the Αρχή Ανάπτυξης Ανθρώπινου Δυναμικού - Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus, on Applications of Generative AI at the Workplace by the technical experts of the CaStoRC Research Centre of The Cyprus Institute. The seminar covered understanding large-language models, leveraging AI for document insights, integrating AI in Excel, enhancing presentation skills with AI assistants, and creating images and videos with generative AI models.   #HRDA #GenAI
