Life’s journey becomes richer when you surround yourself with those who inspire, challenge, and grow with you. The people who share your values, push you beyond your comfort zone, and add depth to your experiences are the ones who make the path truly meaningful.
After returning home from the World Management Agility Forum, I want to celebrate a few people who have enriched my journey this year.
Jim Highsmith, after one coffee last year, joined me on a mission to impact the world of leadership, especially as we are entering into a new digital era of AI. He exudes agile-adaptive leadership through curiosity and a taste for adventure. His co-creative energy is infectious! Congratulations on your Lifetime Achievement Award! It's well-deserved.
Dr. Eric Kihn, after inquiring on a class on AI for Leadership, joined me on a year-long journey to explore AI's implications for leadership. His scientific and data-rich background, along with his life-long passion for solving some of earth's greatest mysteries, helped ground me to what really matters. If you want to get smarter, hang out with smarter people, like Dr. Kihn.
Katharine Bodan, Leadership coach and change agent, is a constant force of positivity. Willing to say "yes" to any adventure, and then sharing the lead even when she's never been their herself, highlights her courageous spirit. Thanks for your continued support of some wild ideas, even if they don't all end in "success". We're better because we tried.
Paul Stonehouse, internal change agent and aspiring comedian, always finds humor in the moment, especially if everything surrounding us appears hopeless. Thank you for your can-do attitude, making lemonade from lemons, and often times playing the sherpa for the journey, carrying the heaviest of loads.
Jana Zimmerman, I wouldn't be anywhere without your love and support. Never one to play the "yes-woman" card, you keep challenging me to challenge myself to be a better version. Thank you for not giving up on me, even when I deserve to be given up on.
Lisa Kihn & Wendie Highsmith - You both share a creative spirit that enlivens any situation. Thank you for not only supporting us on this journey, but joining us on it as well - we're all better through your engagement.
Choose your companions wisely—they shape your story.
Agile Leadership Journey is better because of you. This picture was taken at the World Management Agility Forum - thank you to Hugo Lourenco and the team at The Agile Thinkers for hosting us and our partners!
