Spacesuits, but make it #fashion! Last week, we had the honor of hosting over 50 high-profile officials and industry representatives at our ICEE #Spacewalk, a one-of-a-kind catwalk featuring simulated #spacesuits. This unique event was made possible thanks to the support of the General Consulate of the Czech Republic in Milan and ESA BIC Czech Republic, PARSEC Space , and Smith Garment Factory . Since the dawn of the #SpaceAge, fashion and space — specifically spacesuit design — went hand-in-hand. Still, fashion remains largely absent from the conversation in space #engineering communication. As disruptors, we decided to change that. At our ICEE Spacewalk, we showcased the latest innovations in #analogue spacesuit technology, including our cutting-edge ICEE Suits, in a way that only the world’s fashion capital could appreciate. Together, we can make #survival in the extreme environments, both on #Earth and in Space, more than just that; we will go from surviving out there to living out there -- in style! Last week, ICEE.Space had the privilege of participating in the #International #Astronautical #Congress (#IAC2024) in Milan, the largest gathering of the global space community to date. We were proud to be part of the Czech Space stand, made possible by the support of ESA BIC Czech Republic. This year’s IAC theme, "Responsible Space for Sustainability", aligns closely with what we do at ICEE.Space. Through our #analogue missions, we not only contribute to #sustainability #research, but also raise global standards for #terrestrial analogues with our innovative Analogue Astronaut Kit. [Event] Mars may seem far away, but we're closer than you think! At the "Surviving on Mars" event, we got a firsthand look at the tech, challenges, and mindset needed to thrive on the Red Planet, thanks to the amazing Charlotte Pouwels - analogue astronaut! 👩🚀 🌱 Why go to Mars? The Red Planet holds the key to answering big questions about life, survival, and possibly our future home. But the journey isn't easy – it’s months in space with no quick pit stops, and the Martian environment is brutally harsh. 🌾 Food is key! On the ISS, fresh food delivery days are the happiest – but shipping costs are insane ($100k for 1 kg!). Developing ways to grow food in space is essential to keep astronauts healthy and happy. 💡 Charlotte’s work doesn’t just help space exploration—it brings solutions back to Earth, from sustainable living to surviving extreme conditions.
