If you were to go on an adventure, what would you take with you? 🌎 Indiana Jones fans might pack a whip to overcome obstacles and fend off danger. Others might bring a camera to capture as many memories of their journey as possible. 📷 Nick and Marcel from Munich, Germany, two additive manufacturing experts from the Technical University of Munich, decided to take two of our Original Prusa MK4 3D printers and a bunch of Prusament filament along.   Their journey will take them from Dresden to Dakar to the city of Banjul, Gambia. 🗺️ Combining their destination with a love of '90s sitcoms, they call themselves The Fresh Prints of Banjul (a reference to the TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air).   During their 19-day trip covering 7,000 km, they won't just be traveling. They plan to support local communities by donating supplies and participating in charitable activities. When they arrive in Banjul, they plan to drop off their MK4 3D printers at the Interior Academy School and hold workshops for teachers, students, and anyone interested in helping the local community and promoting technological development. 📚 At the end of their journey, their car will be auctioned, with all proceeds going directly to support charitable projects in The Gambia. At Prusa Research, we take quality seriously. It's one of the key advantages that set us apart from the competition, and it's something our customers can always rely on—even down to the smallest screw on the printer. In today's #PrusaCrew, we'd like to introduce you to Lucie Kaufmanová from our Quality Department, who has greatly improved our quality control in her seven years with us. When Lucie first joined Prusa, quality control was, let's just say, handled with a bit of a punk spirit - no strict rules, no rigid systems, just doing the best we could with what we had. Her biggest challenge was to build a team and set up processes so that we could thoroughly test our products and fully stand behind them. Thanks to Lucie's tireless efforts, the team has grown to include experts with experience in large-scale standardized production, allowing us to implement much-needed professional procedures. Today, Lucie leads a well-coordinated team of fourteen colleagues with a professionally equipped laboratory. For example, they test whether samples and production parts from suppliers meet the required standards. They also handle complaints with suppliers and create documentation for our production operators so they know how to handle parts and what to look for. They also work closely with customer service. All of this leads to one clear goal - to deliver flawless products to our customers. What does Lucie enjoy most about working at Prusa Research? That we have a friendly company culture with open communication where we're not afraid to share our opinions. And, of course, our legendary Prusa parties! Fun fact about Lucie: She and her husband are both 3D printing enthusiasts. They print at home on three machines! Besides work projects, they use them for various creative projects - currently, they're making decorative Halloween pumpkins. 🎃
