Last week, we hosted a breakfast at our office with Jessica Ehimare, Global Senior Manager of DE&I. We spent a relaxed morning together, engaging in an open discussion, getting to know each other better, and working toward creating an inclusive and supportive work environment that values and respects individuals from diverse backgrounds. Jess reflects on the event: “The focus was to share and reconfirm our global DEI commitments and set up an active listening and sharing session. Today, we would like to introduce Andrea Pezzotti, Global Head of Cyber Security Operations. Andrea joined Sandoz in mid-2023 to lead the development of cybersecurity strategies and operations. He is responsible for selecting and deploying security tools across various technologies, building teams to manage both proactive and reactive cyber activities in IT and operational technology environments. He also analyzes the pharmaceutical industry’s threat landscape and estimates potential cyber risks. “At Sandoz, we’ve built enterprise services with the determination, passion, and agility of a startup. In a short time, we’ve navigated multiple phases, from strategy to execution. The personal and professional growth I’ve experienced here is unparalleled. I’m proud of my team members who, through my guidance and mentorship, have evolved from experts to leaders, driving goals with professionalism, personal investment, and humor.” In his free time, Andrea enjoys cooking with his family, traveling – especially to seaside locations – and listening to music. Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Scarlett S. Stredel, Head of P&O Operations & Digital Solutions, along with her leadership team at our office in Prague. During this visit, we had the opportunity to ask Scarlett a few questions, as she is new to this role and this is her first visit to our new Prague office. 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞? I lived in Prague from 2019 to 2023. I love the city; in a way, it is like a second home for my family and me, and we miss our time here. It is a great place to live and work. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐳𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐏&𝐎 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦? I am very impressed by our Prague team. That’s why we recently hosted our Wellbeing Days, organized in collaboration with our health benefits provider, Multisport. Today, we would like to introduce Yumjirmaa S., Senior Project Manager for the Global Competency Centers (GCCs) in the GCC Performance and Analytics team. Yumjirmaa, also known as Yumi, joined Sandoz in September 2023, right before the spin-off. Yumi plays a key role in strategy, transformation, process optimization, and talent engagement at Sandoz GCCs, where she drives innovation and enhances operational efficiency. Additionally, she leads the Culture Stream within our Prague DEI team. "In my hometown of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, there used to be a big 'Sandoz' sign in the city center. Every day, as I passed by it on my way to school, I was always curious about what 'Sandoz' meant. Little did I know that years later, I would join Sandoz and become part of this dynamic and purpose-driven organization. Today, as I work alongside inspiring and brilliant colleagues, I feel a sense of pride and belonging. It’s incredible how those childhood moments of wonder have now become part of my identity." In her free time, Yumi is a perfume enthusiast, often referred to as a "fraghead".
