🌍🔄 Is the future of the circular economy in digitalisation? One impressive example is the EU-funded ‘RecAL’ initiative, which aims to usher in a new era of sustainable aluminium production and reuse. As the AIT points out, recycling aluminium from end-of-life and production waste requires up to 95% less energy than primary aluminium production. However, the large number of alloys poses a major challenge and often leads to downcycling. With the planned ‘RecAL Hub’, a dynamic digital platform is being developed to network the entire European recycling process. This platform is intended to connect suppliers, buyers and technological solution providers and promote a comprehensive symbiosis in the value chain. Qualicoat renewal tests for ENVIROX systems are successfully finished 🏆 The chrome-free, titanium-based #ENVIROX NR process with #Alficoat 748 (748/3) and the ENVRIOX S process (Alfipas 745 - Alfipas 746) have been established on the market for over two decades. Both systems are used in numerous powder coating plants worldwide for the corrosion protection of aluminium surfaces. After a period of 5 years the systems have to be tested again according to Qualicoat rules. In 2024 this could be successfully finised by Qualicoat now. The ENVIROX NR process was tested for "dual-use" application (no-rinse/rinse) and the ENVIROX S process for classic "rinse" application.
