At SurTec China, we welcomed the Year of the Snake, a symbol of wisdom, transformation, and renewal, with a lively celebration at our Hangzhou plant. One of the highlights of the evening was the Long Service Award session during dinner. We were happy to recognize Jack DONG, our Sales & Marketing Director, for his 15 years of dedication and outstanding contributions to SurTec. He received the award from Dr. Karsten Grünke, CEO of SurTec International, marking a special moment of gratitude and achievement. We are pleased to share that SurTec China, together with Li Auto, received the Award for Automotive Corrosion Protection by the China Consumer Product Quality and Safety Promotion Association and the China Automotive Technology and Research Center. The award was chosen for the innovative Cr-free Aluminum passivation SurTec 638, which enabled Li Auto not only to improve the corrosion resistance significantly but also to streamline the whole Aluminum manufacturing process and integrate the passivation process into the existing die-cast operation. This year, the Christmas Party of SurTec International was beautifully themed around the 175th anniversary of Freudenberg – a truly memorable celebration! A highlight of the evening was the captivating presentation by Michael Horchler, who brought Freudenberg's fascinating history and the inspiring story of its founder, Carl Johann, to life. The participants also enjoyed a historic tour of Zwingenberg, Germany, illuminated by festive lights, adding to the magical atmosphere. A shared dinner with wonderful conversations and excellent company completed the perfect setting to bid farewell to an incredible year. We are thrilled to announce that SurTec 313 has been approved by Qualanod as an anodizing additive under approval No. QND 020! SurTec 313 enables anodizers to reduce energy consumption by up to 20% by allowing the process to operate at higher temperatures, thereby lowering cooling energy and voltage needs.
