Desde la Asociación de Alumni de IESE, queremos expresar nuestro más profundo apoyo a la Comunidad Valenciana en estos momentos de adversidad. Nuestras sinceras condolencias están con todos aquellos que han sido afectados por las recientes lluvias torrenciales y las inundaciones, en especial a los miembros de nuestra comunidad alumni en la región. Agradecemos el incansable esfuerzo de los equipos de emergencia y las autoridades locales, quienes, bajo condiciones extremas, están dedicados a proteger y apoyar a los afectados. Con el espíritu de solidaridad que nos caracteriza, animamos a nuestros alumni y a la comunidad a sumarse a las iniciativas de ayuda de asociaciones como Cruz Roja Española o Cáritas Española. A través de nuestra plataforma, se puede acceder a información sobre organizaciones que están gestionando donaciones y brindando asistencia en las zonas afectadas. Adicionalmente, se han habilitado puntos de recogida en las áreas más afectadas, donde es posible colaborar con artículos de primera necesidad como alimentos, ropa y materiales de ayuda. 🚀 Ohno was right… Ono (Yoko) maybe not, but Ohno (Taiichi) nailed it! MUDA – the Japanese word for waste –at the core of Toyota Production System (TPS) - inspired us for our success... ...our success in serving top food-processing companies, CNC operators, automotive OEMs, industrial corporates, chemistry, pharma, logistics, field service... across Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain, Japan, Mexico, Chile, (...) and the USA!!!! We got rid of Muda. Yes! as much as we could. Also there where it hurt!! 🔄 Augmented Reality (AR) = CAD Models + 3D Glasses But when you really break it down... AR = MUDA + MUDA. (???????) More tech doesn’t always mean better solutions. 💡 The real breakthrough is eliminating the wasteful complexity and focusing on solutions that actually solve problems. Keep it lean, keep it effective. What we did: 1) 3D CAD models (in AR glasses) 🔧 Our V6 engine renderings allowed workers to virtually step inside the engine, explore it in X-ray mode, and inspect every detail. The tech was wow-worthy, but the worker still stood there… screw in hand, confused. ❌ So, we got rid of the 3D CAD models! Now it’s simple: Hole ➡️ Arrow ➡️ Screw. Period. 2) AR glasses? 👓 Great in theory, but let’s talk reality: poor ergonomics, short battery life, high costs. ❌ We got rid of the glasses too! Our new "glasses"? 📱 Your phone. Yes, that thing in your pocket. Applying TPS principles, we simplified, optimized, and now serve more customers and use cases than ever. 💡 💼 Lesson: Keep it simple. Remove the waste.
