During our meetup at ESMT Berlin (collaboration with Anant Parashar - ESMT Berlin Tech and Innovation Club ) dedicated to students and aspiring product managers, we discussed valuable insights and helped participants get a deeper understanding of the product manager role. We want to highlight those skills necessary to ace the role here as well ℹ 1. Clear Communication: As a PM, you act as the bridge between different teams (engineering, marketing, design). Focus on Efficiency and avoid information overload or demotivation. Only share relevant information with each team to maintain focus and motivation without distracting them. 2. Team & Stakeholder Alignment: Alignment means ensuring that everyone involved is working towards the same goals. This requires listening to different perspectives, managing expectations, and building consensus. A well-aligned team moves faster and with less friction. 3. Problem Structuring: Break down complex problems into manageable components. A PM who can structure problems well helps their team focus on solving the right issues, driving efficient product development. 4. Decision Making: A great PM makes decisions based on data, user insights, and business needs. Quick and confident decision-making allows teams to stay on course and avoid unnecessary delays. 5. Mental Model Scaling: As your product grows, the complexity of managing it increases. Scaling your mental models means adapting your thinking to handle larger teams, more stakeholders, and a broader product vision. It allows you to think strategically while handling day-to-day operations effectively. -- What would you add to the list? Which do you think is the hardest to master? ♻️ Repost to help other aspiring product managers and follow berlin product managers for more! Pictures by Arundhati 😎

We're so happy about the outcome of the Product Unconference Another great event fostering product culture in Berlin 👏 👏 👏
When we decided to bring the Product UnConference to Berlin, I’ll admit I felt a bit anxious 😟 Going international felt like a big challenge—would our format hit the mark with an international crowd? Today, just one day after the Berlin edition, that anxiety has been replaced by gratitude. Grateful to share this adventure with an incredible co-partner and friend, Alessandro Tezza. Grateful that we not only sold out in just two weeks but actually overbooked! Apologies to those who couldn’t join this time. Grateful to our fantastic partners, berlin product managers, ProductLab Community Conference, mama health, and Jam.dev who helped make this event truly memorable. But above all, grateful to the amazing people who trusted us and brought such energy and openness to the event. The Product UnConference only works if everyone shows up ready to connect, share, and collaborate—and this time, the energy was off the charts! A special shoutout to Riccardo Ancona, who traveled over 2000 km just to attend his second UnConference. This level of dedication is simply inspiring! 🤩 Thank you to each and every one of you who made this event a success. Can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next! 🚀 #productunconference #productmanagement #productevents #productmanager #unconference #berlinevents Ahmed Abdelfattah Darinka Burovska Daniele Ronca Henry Burnett Katriina Viita Kevin Hwang Maie ElZeiny Michael Mathieu Elisabetta Silvestro Sindhu Maiyya Dr. Stephan Putzke Csaba Tamas Valeriia Kaimashnikova Vincent Williams Dr. Jonas Witt Matthias Diener Carlo Cantarini

🚀 The Berlin Product UnConference is almost here, and we’ve got only 2 spots left! 🚀 This isn’t your typical conference - it’s more like a bunch of product folks hanging out and talking about real experiences, what’s worked, what hasn’t, and everything in between. We’ll be meeting on October 26th for a full day of learning, sharing, and connecting 🤝 I’m super happy to be organizing it with Rosario Marrazzo, and I really want to thank our friends at ProductLab Community Conference (Daniele Ronca) and berlin product managers (Carlo Cantarini) for supporting this initiative. A special thanks to mama health (Dr. Jonas Witt and Matthias Diener) for letting us use their beautiful space, and to Jam.dev for ensuring we’re not just learning, but also eating well! 🍽️ Don’t wait - grab one of the last spots and come hang out with us! 👉 More details and ticket link in the first comment.
