💶 Eine Milliarde Euro im Jahr 2030 – Bosch Industrietechnik machte diese Woche auf einer Pressekonferenz in der Ulmer Modellfabrik eine selbstbewusste Ansage. So viel Umsatz will das Unternehmen mit Software und softwarebezogenen Services für Fabriken machen. Die Pressekonferenz zeigte, wie die Angebote von Bosch ineinandergreifen: 1️⃣ Bosch Rexroth bietet mit ctrlX Automation stark wachsendes Ökosystem für die Fabrikautomation. 2️⃣ Software aus dem Nexeed-Portfolio von Bosch Connected Industry kommt bei Kunden ebenso wie in etwa 150 Bosch-Werken zum Einsatz. 3️⃣ Und schließlich bildet das Softwareportfolio des Bosch Semantic Stack die Basis für Digitale Zwillinge von Produkten. Es ist erstaunlich, wie stark sich die Welt der Fertigung verändert hat – vor wenig mehr als dreißig Jahren konnte ich noch Maschinenbau studieren - quasi, ohne mit Software in Berührung zu kommen. Das war auch noch viele Jahre so, Software wurde maximal als notwendiges Übel angesehen. Innerhalb weniger Jahre hat sich dies komplett gewandelt, die „Hardware“ der Fabrik ist zwar unverzichtbar, aber eben nur noch ausführendes Element. Dieser Wandel verändert die Unternehmen – die Zeiten, als die Techniker vorgaben, wie Produkte aufgebaut sind, sind vorbei. Heute geht es um die „softwaredefinierte Fabrik“ – was übrigens auch die Überschrift der Pressekonferenz war. ☝ Wir „Boomer“ tun jedenfalls gut daran, uns in Sachen Software weiterzubilden und entsprechende Skills auszubilden. Zum Glück bietet auch hier die moderne Softwaretechnologie einen Ausweg: Low Code/No Code-Systeme. Das versteht jeder, das ist wie früher: Man nimmt Bauklötze, die eine bestimmte Funktion repräsentieren, verbindet diese Bauklötze miteinander und gibt den Verbindungen noch Bedingungen dazu. Das ist nicht viel anderes als ein Hebelwerk mit Gelenken – die ja immer geometrische Bedingungen darstellen – zu entwickeln. 🪛 Ich beschäftige mich privat seit einiger Zeit mit Home Automation und habe riesigen Spaß daran, Automatisierungen zu erstellen. Übrigens kommuniziert ein Großteil meiner Geräte im Haus über MQTT oder Modbus mit dem Server – also genau über die Protokolle, die sich in der digitalen Fertigung überall finden. Und die gesamte Implementierung von System, Sensoren, Automatisierungen und Dashboards lässt sich mithilfe einer Low-Code-Oberfläche erledigen. Das zeigten auch die Bosch Rexroth-Mitarbeiter in der Modellfabrik, als sie ein neues Modul in ihren Prozess und den zugehörigen Maschinencode einbanden. Die Welt verändert sich, aber mit etwas gutem Willen bleibt auch der alte Maschinenbauer am Ball. Ich wünsche Ihnen jedenfalls so viel Spaß damit, wie ich habe. How does an engineer end up working in sales? 🤔 That’s what we wanted to know from our colleague Serdar Vanlıoğlu, who studied and worked in mechanical engineering before becoming a Key Account Manager at Bosch Connected Industry. His answer: “It was a gradual process. My interest in both areas grew with my experience.” Serdar’s career stages at Bosch included working as a production team lead at the Bosch plant in Bursa, handling projects for typical Bosch automotive products in Rommelsbach and at the site in Bamberg, before returning to Bursa as a group lead. “These projects made me recognize my fascination with the commercial side of manufacturing – so I decided to switch to sales at Bosch Connected Industry,” Serdar says. “Here, I get to meet interesting people from all over the world, collaborate with a great team, and work directly on fulfilling our business goals.” Serdar’s engineering background helps him understand his customers well: “I know their challenges firsthand – and can help them find the right solution.” Whether it’s during or outside of work, connecting with people comes naturally to Serdar. He calls himself a “commuting migrant”, having lived off and on in Germany and Turkey since his childhood. “This has opened my mind for other people and cultures that enrich my life in all aspects, be it in my job or when volunteering at the Crisis Intervention Team of the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V..” Thank you for your commitment, Serdar!
