𝗪𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼 𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 The ECB plans to expand its initiative to settle DLT-based transactions in central bank money. With this, the plan to offer a continuous wholesale DLT settlement solution goes hand-in-hand. Establishing a solution here marks a significant milestone for the industry, as it solves one of the main issues of all existing blockchain applications today - cash-on-chain. The announcement marks a significant step toward integrating DLT-based transactions into Europe’s financial infrastructure. By enabling settlement solutions that bridge digital and traditional finance, the ECB is paving the way for regulated, scalable, and efficient tokenized markets. This move brings much-needed clarity for institutional adoption. The ability to settle tokenized securities directly at the central bank level addresses key concerns around liquidity, counterparty risk, and regulatory certainty—all essential for unlocking the full potential of digital assets. It also underlines a core focus we've pursued for years.
