🥳 25 years CRONIMET Brasil: anniversary and start of new productions 👷 One of the largest subsidiaries of the CRONIMET Group, CRONIMET Brasil, is celebrating its 25th anniversary! To mark the occasion, CRONIMET Brazil has given itself two presents. Since August of this year, our site in Santa Catarina has been home to a production plant for ferrotitanium (FeTi). This first plant of its kind in South America makes a long-held dream come true for the CRONIMET Group, and could make us one of the largest suppliers of FeTi in Brazil and Europe! Since October, the production of cored wire has also been part of the production in Brazil. By manufacturing these wires filled with different materials, we can reduce the loss of alloyed materials in steel production and further advance our goal of conserving resources. 🌍 CRONIMET Group Publishes 2023 Sustainability Report 🌍   We are happy to announce that the CRONIMET Group has published its 2023 Sustainability Report, emphasizing our commitment to transparency and sustainability. This year’s report refers to the GRI framework and includes key elements of the new European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), such as double materiality.   Our climate strategy was a primary focus of our activities in 2023. We have mapped our Scope 3 CO2 emissions and joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), committing to the SBTi’s science-based net-zero standards. Our ambitious goal is to reduce our direct CO2 emissions following the 1.5° target of the Paris Agreement.   We know that achieving these goals will require innovation and collaboration. As CEO Jürgen Pilarsky states, “We intend to be a driving force in the sustainable transformation of the stainless steel industry. Our ambition is to reduce the emissions from our operations to zero by 2030.
