Recap: PPTC   Even if our popcorn wasn't a big hit this time, our team on site at the Power Plant Technology Colloquium (PPTC) was all the more in demand for its expertise! 🌟 The numerous discussions with business partners, both old and new, gave us a good insight into the status quo and future developments in the industry.    The nuclear energy symposium in particular focused on future technologies such as innovative reactors and fusion technology - topics in which we can contribute our expertise and support our neighboring countries in the future. 💼🤝 We are also proud of the positive response to our product “doQument” - an important follow-up event is already being planned. 🗓️ Furthermore, one of the many lectures presented by our colleagues, “Germany halves its energy costs - how can it be done?” was very well attended and clearly showed how we can sustainably reduce the costs of the energy transition. The response was overwhelming! 🌍⚡   The PPTC was therefore a great opportunity for us to network in a relaxed atmosphere and open up valuable business opportunities. Dornier at GIZ workshop on Georgia’s road freight to rail shift   On September 30, Dornier Group was invited to the high-level workshop on sustainable transport in Georgia, organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH. We want to thank all participants for this very informative and insightful event! 🤝   As part of the CDCPIII project, commissioned by GIZ, we conducted a feasibility study and cost-benefit analysis to explore the best options for shifting road freight to rail in the Middle Transport Corridor (TITR). During the workshop, we discussed these results with key stakeholders, including Georgian Railways, the Rail Transport Agency, and logistics businesses. 🚚➡️🚆   We are proud to support Georgia’s goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 15% by 2030 and view the feasibility study as an important step towards a more sustainable economy and future. 🌍✨ Christoph Gipp

🌍 The Dissemination of RDF Off-takers Study: Advancing Sustainable Management of Solid Waste in Indonesia ♻️   The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (MoEF) and PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (PT SMI) are pushing for wider adoption of Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) technology across Indonesia! 🌱 Local governments are being encouraged to collaborate with stakeholders, including RDF off-takers, to support these green initiatives. With support from the EU-funded S4I program, a nationwide study on RDF off-takers is underway, mapping supply and demand to drive future investment.   Presented by Dornier on October 1, 2024, in Jakarta, the study attracted 250+ stakeholders (online & offline) from regional governments, industries, and beyond. It explores the current state of RDF in Indonesia, evaluates industry readiness, and uncovers opportunities to reduce landfill waste and coal consumption.   With this study, we're aiming to build a more sustainable future! 💡✨   #Sustainability #WasteManagement #GreenEnergy #Indonesia

Successful days at the world's largest wind energy trade fair! 🌍💨   As part of the joint booth of the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region, we participated in WindEnergy Hamburg at the end of September. Our colleagues from Business Unit Renewables participated in numerous exciting discussions with customers and interested parties and gained valuable insights into current industry trends.
