✔ At the 1st international TUD|excite Summer School, 30 doctoral students and academic staff from various universities and institutes worked on promising patents in teams to develop potential business models and present them at the final pitch session. 📝 The week's agenda was tight. Inputs, workshops, fireside chats with successful entrepreneurs and trips in and around Hoyerswerda created a varied and challenging programme for the international participants of the summer school. 🔚 At the end, we saw satisfied faces on stage and on the jury. They were absolutely amazed by the astonishing results of this intensive week and immediately topped up the awards, because each of the business models developed deserves further attention. We would like to thank all of the participants, guests, speakers and supporters who made a decisive contribution to the success of this summer school.
Congrats to the thirty wonderful entrepreneurial inventors and PhD-Students from Technische Universität Dresden and other universities from around the world, who participated in our 1. International TUD|excite Summer School on „Patents in search of new business“ and presented their business models last night in front of our honorable jury. Our jury members Joern Block , Nagwan Abu El-Ella, Soeren Schuster and Alexander Türpe were excited by the quality of the pitches and recommended all ten teams for further coaching and development of the business concepts.
