Recently I joined our first MAN eTGX Ultra Low Liner on its first deployment for Volkswagen plant logistics in Wolfsburg, alongside Simon Motter and Christian Vollmer. ✅ 317 km one way. ✅ 634 km round trip. ✅ 100% electric. Zero emissions. By the end of this month, Duvenbeck Unternehmensgruppe will have around 15 MAN eTGX Ultra Low Liners in operation as part of our ambition to reduce CO2 in real operations. Real change is happening, the experience we are gaining every day on the road is supporting us to move from “pilot” into “day-to-day” operations. What’s next? Since April this year, we are working together with our collaboration partners AUDI AG and HELROM on a joint project to decarbonize material supply by shifting transport from roads to rails. What does this look like? In short, a more than 600 meters long train with 36 trailers, covers over 500 km in one direction and saves yearly up to 11.500 t CO2. This project shows that collaboration across the #industry can help us deliver sustainable solutions for tomorrow. We are thus thrilled that Duvenbeck Unternehmensgruppe together with Audi and Helrom were finalists for this year’s German Logistics Award.
