We promised you more new #content for #ECLASS Release 15.0 - and here it is! 👇 After more than 150,000 change requests were submitted during the ALPHA phase, another 125,000 change requests were submitted during the BETA phase. Since mid-August, the #BETA version is available for testing by experts in the ECLASS community. Feedback on the BETA release will be accepted until September 15, 2024. 🆕 The new content includes several new properties in the new battery classes of main group "Battery, Accumulator", such as 🔹State of certified energy 🔹Initial self-discharging rate 🔹Rated capacity 🔹Capacity fade 🔹Original power capability 🔹State of charge (SoC) 🔹And so on… 🆕 In addition, the new content includes a new standard aspect, "material declaration", which contains information about critical ingredients and has been added for all classification classes (except classes describing services).   🆕 During the BETA phase, several new classes have been implemented:   🔷New main group 2121 "Primary molding tool" with 🔹212101 "Tool for primary molding from plastic state" 🔹21210101 "Injection mold" 🔷New group "Machine for manufactoring plastic parts" with 🔹 17060101 "Injection molding machine" 🔷New main group 36690000 "Temperature control" with 🔹 36690100 "Temperature control unit" 🔹 36690101 "Temperature control unit (plastics processing)" 🔷New classification classes in segment 27, such as 🔹 27430114 "Fibre optic duct" 🔹 27430115 "Fibre optic duct coupler" 🔹 27430116 "End cap for fibre optic duct" 🔹 27201131 "Wind direction sensor" 🔷New classicfication classes in segment 21, such as 🔹 21131921 "Force and pressure test equipment for pressing tools" 🔹 21190624 "Hoover outlet" 🔹 21102221 "Weeder (gas powered)" 🔹 21101424 "Insulating protective shutter"   🔷New classification classes in segment 50, such as 🔹 50120210 "Kitchen timer" 🆕 ECLASS & #AI: With the release of the BETA version, we also provide about 250 new definitions for classification classes. This is the first time that these definitions have been generated by means of artificial intelligence. On July 10 and 11, 2024, the members of the ECLASS OpArm met in Cologne, Germany. The OpArm takes care of the business issues of the ECLASS Association and makes recommendations to the ECLASS Board and Head Office. ECLASS at #AUTOMATION 2024: AI-based ECLASS Search Application! 🚀 We are pleased to announce the results of an innovative project led by the ECLASS Digital Expert Group in collaboration with TH Köln and Neoception GmbH. Together, we have developed a Proof of Concept (PoC) that demonstrates how Artificial Intelligence (#AI) can enhance the deployment, use and optimization of #ECLASS. This project is a shining example of what can be achieved when experts from different fields come together. Jo Beermann, B. ECLASS will be the only data standard to offer a total of 26 languages, reaching over 60% of the world's population and covering both European and international markets. 📅🔜 ECLASS Release 15 is expected to be officially released until November 30, 2024. On June 18 and 19, 2024, the experts of the ECLASS CRD team met for a two-day workshop in Vienna to determine the technical development of #ECLASS. Thanks for hosting us at the Paradine GmbH head office! Among others, the following topics were decided: 🔷 Process for extensions to the ECLASS web service defined and roadmap outlined. 🔷 Project proposal "Ontology model" developed. The idea is that generic application classes will exist in the future so that specialization relationships can be expressed. 🔷 Technical specifications have been decided, so that missing definitions in ECLASS are supplemented with AI (e.g. ChatGPT).   👏 Kudos for the team. 🙂 Stay tuned for more updates!
