On Saturday 21 September, it was Zero Emissions Day, but we work every day to make the world a little less emission-heavy. As Germany’s largest biogas producer, we contribute daily to environmental protection – primarily through the production and operation of plants for green electricity, heat, and, most importantly, #BioCNG and #BioLNG . Biomethane is CO₂-neutral because it is produced from organic waste and renewable resources. Additionally, by digesting materials such as manure, we prevent the release of greenhouse gases that would otherwise be emitted when spread directly on fields. The use of biomethane as a fuel significantly reduces #CO2 emissions in the transport sector. Compared to fossil fuels, biomethane also produces far fewer pollutants like particulate matter, nitrogen oxides (NOx), and sulfur dioxide (SO₂). 🎉 100th EnviThan gas upgrading plant successfully tested! 🎉 A significant milestone for our 100th EnviThan gas upgrading plant! The plant has successfully passed its cold commissioning – a test run in which our gas upgrading plants are tested with air before leaving our site. 🔧💨 The milestone plant will be transported to Denmark in early October and will be commissioned later this year. We were particularly pleased that our customer Lars Nielsen accepted our invitation and traveled all the way from Denmark to witness the functionality test on-site at our manufacturing facility in Saerbeck. 💼 What's special about this plant? 💡 With a capacity of 1,000 Nm³/h of biomethane, the entire technology fits compactly into a single container, thanks to the separate soundproof housing for the gas compressor. For 22 years, we have been successfully building and operating biogas plants, and for 12 years, we have also been constructing gas upgrading plants. This 100th EnviThan plant is a special milestone for us. Our partnership with Lars Nielsen began back in 2016 with the first gas upgrading plant for his operation on the Danish island of Funen, which started in 2017 with a capacity of 396 Nm³/h of biomethane. Through two expansions, the capacity was increased to 510 Nm³/h of biomethane. With the new 100th EnviThan plant, the total capacity will soon reach an impressive 1,510 Nm³/h. 💨 🗨️“This customized and, above all, flexible solution of gradually increasing capacity convinced us to move forward and order another gas upgrading plant with EnviTec Biogas,” says Lars Nielsen. 🚀 Service Manager Meeting 2024 in Prague: A Success for International Collaboration! 🌍 Around every two years, the Service Managers of EnviTec Biogas come together from around the world to exchange insights on the latest developments, challenges, and achievements in their respective markets. Following inspiring meetings in Verona in 2019 and Germany in 2022, this year’s three-day event took place in the beautiful city of Prague, Czech Republic. 🌱 One Year of BioEnergie Park Güstrow: Important Steps Toward the Green Gas Transition 🌍 On August 31, 2023, we inaugurated BioEnergie Park Güstrow, one year after the start of its conversion, marking an important step toward the #greengas transition. As Germany’s largest #biogas producer, we operate this 20-hectare facility as an independent supplier of green #fuel. 🚜💧 With up to 25,000 kg of #bioLNG produced daily and 18,000 tons of food-grade #LCO2 annually – primarily from agricultural residues – we are setting new industry standards. This success is the result of careful planning and an investment of over EUR 50 million. 💼 “We’re currently working on expanding the plant,” says Olaf von Lehmden, to contribute even more to the decarbonization of heavy goods transport and to further support the diverse applications of LCO2 – from the beverage industry to the chemical sector. 🥤🔧 This progress wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our team.
