Erco streamlines toolmaking with 3D Printing In just two years, ERCO has transformed its toolmaking process with 3D Printing, achieving significant efficiency gains. Initially skeptical due to high post-processing costs, Erco revisited Additive Manufacturing in 2021, focusing on fixtures and tooling rather than final products. Partnering with a regional service provider, the company quickly saw the benefits, leading to the purchase of an in-house 3D Printer in 2022. Since then, Erco has produced more than 1,500 components, reducing costs and shortening production chains. Encouraged by these results, Erco plans to explore further 3D Printing applications across its operations.
