𝗪𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 💭🧵👕 We recently had the pleasure of welcoming textile startups from the "Stoff im Kopf" program of the Center for Entrepreneurship Reutlingen at our headquarter in Albstadt. The program, whose name roughly translates to "Fabric On Your Mind", is aimed specifically at startups with business models for the textile industry. Groz-Beckert has been a cooperation partner of “Stoff im Kopf” from the very beginning, offering mentorship as well as access to our technical centers for testing on real textile machines. During a guided tour through our Technology and Development Center (TEZ), the visitors could familiarize themselves with the various technologies and laboratories we have on site. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect and share our passion for innovation in the textile industry. 🌟 In February, we had the pleasure of welcoming a Senegalese delegation to the Groz-Beckert Technology and Development Center (TEZ). The two companies DOMITEXKA SALOUM and sodefitex are working on expanding the textile value chain in Senegal based on organically grown cotton. They are supported by the employers' association GESAMTMASCHE e. V. from Germany. A "spacewoman" at our Malesfelsen elementary school In January Malesfelsen elementary school was buzzing with excitement when word got around that we were expecting the visit of a real space expert. Even before the event the kids knew exactly what they wanted to ask: 🚀 What does outer space look like? 🌟 Have you ever touched a star? 🧑🚀 Is it hot when you wear a spacesuit? 🧑🎓 Was the astronaut exam difficult? 🦾 How many times a week do you train? When the time had finally come and the visitor arrived at our school, all four classes gathered in the theater room. During a very entertaining and captivating presentation, she answered all our questions. She gave fascinating insights into her work. The kids learned that she is not actually an astronaut but a space engineer at CGI. She develops technologies for the European Space Agency - ESA that will be used in future missions as of 2030. She specializes in ground stations and antenna systems that are needed for communication with satellites, space stations and probes. Fascinated, the kids listened to the exciting stories. They gained first insights into careers to do with space and could experience for themselves that even time flies when you're having fun. 🌟 Reutlingen University visits Groz-Beckert! 🌟 🎓 In February, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of research associates from TEXOVERSUM Fakultät Textil - Hochschule Reutlingen (Reutlingen University) to take part in the course "Basics of products for the needling and structuring process". During this training, they gained valuable insights into web bonding by needles, covering fiber formation and needling as well as various web bonding technologies.
