Trotz gesundheitlicher Herausforderungen hat er seine Ausbildung zum Packmitteltechnologe mit Bravour gemeistert und anschließend noch eine Ausbildung zum Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration absolviert. We are delighted to welcome 23 new talents to HERMA. At the beginning of September, the apprentices and dual students started their professional careers in the areas of warehouse logistics, mechatronics, electronics, industrial mechanics, machine and plant management and in the commercial area as well as in the study programmes mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration and business informatics. We are delighted that so many young people have opted for an apprenticeship at HERMA, because a sound education is the basis for a successful professional future. Harvest time on the HERMA Campus 🍎 The first apples from our climate-resilient trees are ripe and ready for snacking. They are not only delicious, but also a sign of our commitment to sustainability. Our canteen used the remaining apples to make delicious apple sauce, which was served with potato pancakes for dessert. With this project, we want to contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and make our environment greener. 

We are continuously increasing our proportion of paper from certified forestry! 🌳 We already use 95% certified paper today and are well on the way to achieving our target of 100% by 2025. #Sustainability #Certifiedforestry #HERMA

There are an estimated 200 million unused mobile phones in Germany. 📳 These ‘drawer phones’ contain real treasures: over three tonnes of gold and almost 20 tonnes of silver as well as other valuable raw materials such as copper, iron, palladium and platinum. By recycling these old devices, valuable resources can be recovered and at the same time CO2 emissions can be saved that would otherwise be generated when mining new raw materials. From now on, our employees can put their old mobile phones that they no longer need in a mobile phone collection box set up especially for this purpose on the HERMA campus. This gives the device a second chance and helps to protect the environment at the same time. ♻️ Do you still have a few old mobile phones lying around in your drawer? With our new ‘crime scene videos’, we want to sensitise our employees to the dangers of accidents in everyday working life. ⚠️ To prevent accidents and create a healthy working environment, we show typical hazardous situations in the videos. The first video is about working with cutters. These carpet knife-like tools are used so often that some people may think to themselves: I've already made this cut a hundred times, so I can do it without protective equipment. Unfortunately, this behaviour can lead to bloody injuries.🩸The (fake) blood flowed during filming, so you can really feel the pain when watching the video. Of course, it's all faked and tricked. However, our ‘crime scene videos’ not only show the painful consequences of such accidents, but also convey simple tips and recommendations for action to minimise the risk. #HERMA #Safety #AccidentPrevention #CrimeSceneVideo

Sporty and motivated - company sports at HERMA 🏃♂️ 🎾 The health of our employees is important to us. That's why we actively promote an active and healthy working environment. Sporting activity has a positive effect on health in many ways: It strengthens the immune system, reduces stress and increases well-being. Sport is even more fun and motivating in a group with colleagues. That's why we offer various company sports groups that cater for different interests. From tennis, badminton and football to Pilates, fitness boxing, squash and a running group, there is something for everyone.   It is a project that opens up prospects for children in need: Together with our partners STELP and Waisenkinder Tansania e.V., we are supporting and accompanying the construction of an orphanage for babies and small children in Tanzania. The children will soon be able to move into the lovingly furnished home. An outdoor kitchen is currently being installed. Unfortunately, work on this had to be interrupted due to heavy rainfall. As soon as this work has been completed, the orphanage will open for business. We look forward to the young residents moving in soon.
