Exciting Evolution at Our Innovation Lab: 🌟 Let’s co-create the future of safety – WITH AI! 🌟   Since our founding in 2021, we've dedicated the past three years to redefining business models and unlocking new pathways to growth for our Mittelstand parent company HIMA Group. Today, we’re thrilled to announce an exciting expansion of our mission: himalaya will act as HIMA’s AI Navigator as of now!   More precisely, we will incorporate AI in our strategy and push even more AI-driven topics. ‘Even more?’ -Yes, because this does not come without a genesis behind: over the past years, we have already incubated several AI-infused projects (four), and with strongest support by our management, we will push more AI in the future. Overall, we will stick to our established methods such as our 5-8-week innovation sprints, ideation campaigns and our highly co-creative and participatory approach, involving both HIMA associates and our dear customers into our innovation activities.   As an innovation lab within a Mittelstand company rooted in functional safety, we’re now combining our expertise in business model innovation with the transformative power of AI. We recently welcomed Karl-Tore Østhus, Technical Director of Origo Solutions | A HIMA Company, which is now part of HIMA Group, to our himalaya office. This visit was an excellent opportunity to learn about each other's  and visions and missions. We introduced himalaya, highlighting our core competencies, projects, and vision for advancing functional safety. Karl-Tore Østhus then presented ORIGO Solutions from his side, focusing on their customized safety and automation systems and expertise in SCADA+ systems. We were impressed by ORS's integration of technical and operational aspects. Excited to share highlights from SAM, the recent global management meeting of HIMA Group, which took place in the vibrant city of Berlin at Maschinenraum! 🌍 As part of HIMA's commitment to fostering innovation and driving impactful discussions, himalaya - the Exploration Lab had the privilege of not only moderating this dynamic event but also delivering a thought-provoking keynote on Renewables. In addition to the keynote, we delved deeper into the intersection of technology and industry trends with a breakout session focused on AI & Cloud. Through interactive discussions and insightful exchanges, we explored the transformative potential of AI and Cloud technologies, paving the way for innovative solutions and strategies within the industry. SAM was an invigorating experience filled with energy and enthusiasm. The event served as a platform for meaningful connections and productive exchanges, leaving a lasting impact on all participants. himalaya excelled in the 2023 Individual Consortium Benchmarking!  Last year, himalaya participated in this benchmarking study – and we are proud that we scored extraordinarily well across Germany and beyond. Particularly, we are proud to score that well as an innovation lab of a family-owned, mid-sized #Mittelstand company.   Here are some results from the study: 🚀 Radical Innovation Performance: Scored an impressive 4.7 out of 5, reflecting our organizational set up with e.g. suitable control mechanisms and monitoring. 📢 Strategic Mandate: Earned a 4.8, emphasizing our commitment, alignment, and organizational awareness. Our extremely close alignment with our management ensures that everything we do is in line with HIMA’s group strategy. 🔥 Radical Innovation Organization: Achieved a 4.8, demonstrating strength in key pillars like Governance, Linkage, and Ecosystem. ↪ Radical Innovation Process: Rocked a perfect score of 5 out of 5, looking at e.g. control, and formalization in innovation processes. 💡 Radical Innovation Mindset: Achieved a commendable 4.6, covering aspects such as Leadership, Team Dynamics, Customer Centricity, and Risk-Taking. The overall score was 4.77 out of 5 🙌 The benchmarking study, facilitated by the INC Invention Center, further validates our work. Thanks to the colleagues Marc Schauss and Leonie Budweiser.
