With over 250 attendees, the energy and focus on innovation in the room was truly inspiring. 🔄 Changing the 1️⃣% 🔄 🚙 The role of permanent magnets in modern technology is undeniable. From the first use of a magnet in compasses in the 11th century to the precision-engineered alloys found in nearly every smartphone, earbud, electric vehicle, and wind turbine today—rare earths are at the core of our tech-driven world and are climate-critical tech. ⚒️ However, demand is expected to outpace mining capacity, creating a pressing need for alternative sources. And while recycling seems like the perfect solution, it’s far from easy—rare earth recycling rates are currently less than 1️⃣%, largely due to the technical challenges of separating these tightly bonded alloys. 🧲 We are excited to invest in Cyclic Materials as they create a clean, secure, and sustainable supply chain for rare earth elements—key building blocks for the energy transition 🌱.
