HOLOPLOT partner Electrosonic is shortlisted in the AV awards (hosted by AV Magazine) for Education Project of the Year with the install at Baylor University's Mark & Paula Hurd Welcome Center project. The curtain has closed on Lightroom's David Hockney Bigger and Closer, not smaller and further away for the last time. A work of art in it’s own right, the show brought together the best in AV technology and creative talent, to help Hockney and 59 Studio (formerly 59 Productions), the creative visionaries behind the project to bring the artist's works to live on a 360 degree, supersized canvas. The inspiring Mark Grimmer, Co-founder and director at 59 Studios was invited to present a talk at TED Conferences to share his take on the developments and opportunities for immersive storytelling. Last week the HOLOPLOT team hosted a shared X1/X2 demo in Dallas, TX. Concurrent with our attendance at the SALT Community conference, a destination event all around church innovation and creative technology use to enhance worship experiences, the team welcomed a variety of guests, all impressed by the harmonious and effective showcase of the HOLOPLOT Matrix Array technology. The demo took place at a local theater and consisted of two 3x1 X1 arrays flown left and right with a 2x4 X2 array in the center. X1 showcased musical content, while X2 demonstrated zoning, focus points and speech coverage.
