Hostwriter hat dies direkt geteilt
I will never forget that day, 10 years ago, when we launched Hostwriter live at the re:publica conference in Berlin. And I couldn’t be more proud of the other day, 3 years ago, when the dream of opening a feminist cross-border newsroom Unbias The News became reality. On the occasion of tonight’s 10+3 double birthday party, I would love to thank the many people who’ve put a lot of love, sweat and dedication into these projects over the last 10 years - all this wouldn’t have been possible without you 💜💜💜 *Thank you to the co-founders Tamara Anthony and Sandra Maria Wild, your signatures turned Hostwriter from an idea into a legally registered entity 🎉! *To Katja Heitmann and Andy Wilke, it was your awesome coding and beautiful design that convinced donors to help us grow from a voluntary side-project into a proper start-up 🚀 ! *To Felix Franz (Insta: @veleckz), Hostwriter’s co-worker No. 1: Your enthusiasm and creativity in those early years still make me speechless. I won't forget our days with you, Elina Makri, at the Athens Democracy Forum 🇬🇷 or traveling to Armenia for Felix' Agora Project with Abhishek Chauhan (is it you?) and @Geraldine Cremin 🇦🇲! *To Olalla Tuñas Martínez, Hostwriter’s employee No.1, Bernadette Geyer, Christina Lee and Zahra Salah Uddin, followed by Mercy Abang, MBA, Julia Vernersson (who are Hostwriter’s managing directors today;) and Gabriela Ramírez: Oh dears, where shall I start?! As the first employed team, we were on the rollercoaster of an early startup together. I will never forget your combined wisdom, expertise, creativity and playfulness, your patience, friendship and dedication at all times 💘! *To Michael Stang, Wafaa Albadry and Qian Sun, your incredibly generous support since day one inspired everything that would later become the “Hostwriter Ambassador Program” 🌍! *To Gayatri Parameswaran and Felix Gaedtke, your beautiful video series celebrated ambassadors Mercy Abang, MBA, Mohammad Bassiki بسيكي (Syria/France), Mariana Delgado Barón (Colombia), Priscila Pacheco (Brazil) and Riana Raymonde Randrianarisoa (Madagascar), which grow our reach and impact across more and more borders 🎥! *Thank you to the team behind Unbias The News, editor-in-chief Christina Lee and the editors at the time: Ankita Anand, Wafaa Albadry, Mercy Abang, MBA, Purple Chrystyl Romero and Gabriela Ramírez. The time with you has been one of the most fulfilling experiences in my whole work life 💜! *Thank you to Hostwriter’s supervisory board, headed by @Jutta Falkenhausen and board members including Tamara Anthony, Eva-Maria McCormack, Michael Weber and Merve Kayikci. I’m proud to serve there as a board member, too 😀! I’m sure I still forgot 100 people who supported Hostwriter and Unbias the News along the way: THANK YOU ALL! Cheers to the next 10 years🥂🥂🥂
10 years ago, Hostwriter launched its collaborative platform for journalists – and in 2021 we embarked on an exciting journey launching our cross-border newsroom Unbias The News. Our goal was clear: to establish an international newsroom with a mission to create a more equitable and inclusive world of journalism. As we mark this double milestone, we’re reminded of the importance of our mission. In a world where misinformation is rampant, and many voices still go unheard, we continue to push forward, committed to creating the world of journalism we believe in—one that is collaborative, diverse, and rooted in the principles of fairness and equity. Our journey over the past years has been made possible by the incredible support of our community. Whether you’ve contributed a story, shared our work, connected across borders, or simply believed in our mission, you’ve played a crucial role in helping us get to where we are today. And now, we want to take a moment to celebrate with you. Save the date: September 17th at 19.00h in Berlin. RSVP is required. Tickets are free *Donations welcome* https://lnkd.in/dt7Mbvzk Find all the info about the event in our latest blog post:https://lnkd.in/ddGKTcne #media #journalism #unbiasthenews #diversity #inclusion #collaboration #hostwriter Display Europe
