⚠ Safety first: Hydrogen Detection Solutions 💥 Renewable hydrogen requires a strict management of safety challenges. Hydrogen is a colourless, odourless and tasteless gas. The small molecular size and high diffusivity increases the possibility of leaks. Because of its high flammability, it can cause harm to humans. 📢 The hydrogen cells are inherently safe but production and transportation carry risks. Therefore it’s important to install high quality detection systems. Modern detectors are sensing even small leaks at the speed of sound. We are installing the highest up-to-date safety systems. The health and well-being of our staff members have the highest priority. 🌐 We at Hy2gen are always updating our safety measurements to secure a safe environment in every part of the production. We are working together with experts in gas safety management to create a secure spot for the processing of hydrogen. #renewablehydrogen #hy2gen #green #hydrogen #safety #solutions

#renewableenergy #hy2gen #hydrogen #decarbonization #energytransition #pipeline #news

🔥💧 From the Deep: Magma Heat for Hydrogen Production 🔎 The renewable hydrogen industry is always curious to find new sustainable solutions to make production more sustainable and efficient. A new way to produce hydrogen was discovered, utilising magma, directly under the earth’s surface. ⚙️ How does it work? Water is being injected into a reaction chamber that reaches subterranean magma. The magma heats molten salt and facilitates a reaction to split hydrogen and oxygen. Unreacted water can be recycled. 🌍 The usage of geothermal heat makes this form of hydrogen production less reliant on electricity. The integration of recycled water as well as catalysts and molten salt make the process light on resources. 🌐 At Hy2gen we are always researching new methods to increase efficiency as well as reducing environmental consequences in renewable hydrogen production. This new way of using earths own heat to generate renewable hydrogen is an interesting prospect. We are constantly reviewing the innovations to see if they can be introduced to hydrogen production at an industrial scale. #hydrogen #production #sustainability #Hy2gen #magma #heat #geothermal #energy

#Hy2gen #Atlantis #wasserstoff #hydrogen #RFNBO
💧📚 Hy2gen Picture Book 🔋 The future lies in our hands. One of the key factors of a sustainable future is renewable hydrogen, which we produce at our ATLANTIS plant in Werlte. We want to make sure that future generations will not think of coal digging and oil burning when they think of energy production. They should think of wind turbines, solar panels and electrolysers that produce clean energy. That's why we were happy to lend our plant ATLANTIS as a model for a renewable hydrogen production site to be drawn in the picture book “Grüner Wasserstoff für Anfänger”. 🏙️ You can get a first look into the picture book at Frankfurt book expo between the 16th and 20th of October at booth C97 in hall 3.0. Publisher “Verlag Steinbeis Edition” is planning additional publications to support the picture book. A second supplement book will explain components, names and dates shown in “Grüner Wasserstoff für Anfänger”. The main book will additionally be available as an e-book in early 2025. ❤️ We love the book already and are very happy to see our ATLANTIS plant in beautifully drawn pictures. 🙏 Thanks to Bianca Brinner & Andreas Brinner for their fantastic work. #atlantis #hydrogen #hy2gen #future #cleanenergy #nextgeneration

💧⚡ Massive Opportunity for US Renewable Hydrogen Industry 🌊 Leveraging offshore wind could meet up to 75% of America's future hydrogen demand, according to a study by Cornell University. As the U.S. seeks cost-effective and environmentally friendly hydrogen production methods, this research highlights the enormous potential of offshore wind energy, requiring a significant scale-up to 0.96 terawatts of capacity. 🌍 Economic and Environmental Insights Cornell’s study also reveals that transporting compressed gaseous hydrogen via pipelines is more economical and environmentally advantageous compared to liquefied hydrogen, though both methods present unique challenges. The need for innovative infrastructure and supportive policies is critical to overcoming these hurdles. 🔗 Hydrogen Hubs The study introduces the concept of 'offshore hydrogen hubs'—key to reducing costs and optimizing production, storage, and distribution. With the East Coast identified as a prime location, these hubs could benefit the U.S. in renewable hydrogen production, especially for export to European markets. 🔋 At Hy2gen, we are actively contributing to this future by developing state-of-the-art production plants for renewable hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives. Our collaboration with OCE, the offshore wind expert, underscores our commitment to direct electricity supply from wind power, ensuring the most economical renewable hydrogen production processes. 📍 With optimal pathways outlined, renewable hydrogen could become a competitive and sustainable energy source. The journey ahead requires robust policy support, technological advancements, and a clear vision to realise this potential.
