China is scaling up its hydrogen economy. Steven Oji and I will be traveling next week to Beijing to develop our business relationships to professionals in the hydrogen economy in China. We have organized the business trip with our partner Peng Jiang from Henotec, and I am delighted that SunGreenH2 and Habonim Industrial Valves & Actuators LTD will be joining us. We are exhibiting at Beijing Internation Hydrogen Technology Equipment Exhibition, and we will do a presentation at the International Hydrogen Cooperation Forum on 26. March at that exhibition, to share insights from our B2B Marketplace Hyfindr and how to best collaborate with European partners. I hope it will be insightful for listeners. We have worked hard in the past weeks to ensure that our website is also available in Chinese language, and we did it. We launched it yesterday! This man needs no introduction. Prof. Dr. Klaus Bonhoff would never call himself Mr Hydrogen, the entire German hydrogen industry however believes he is that kind of person. A real hydrogen leader. I do not say this very often on LinkedIn, but this time I am super excited to do a podcast with Klaus for our format 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿. Prof. Dr. Klaus Bonhoff was instrumental in setting up NOW GmbH back in the days, he shaped the hydrogen economy in many ways, and recently he was the victim of an unjust investigation at the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport. The entire German hydrogen community was very relieved to learn that his unquestionable integrity was restored, once the news broke that the investigations came to the conclusion that there where no breaches of his official duties. There is a lot to talk about and I hope that you suggest to me many interesting questions that I can ask him in the podcast recording.  Please comment below. Yesterday I had the chance to speak at the 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 in Munich. The discussions at the conference reminded me about my days when building H2 MOBILITY, a joint venture I supported establishing with passion more than 10 years ago. Many OEMs yesterday presented their demonstration vehicles and systems in their key notes, including MAN Truck & Bus SE, EKPO Fuel Cell Technologies GmbH, GLOBE Fuel Cell Systems, AVL. Lots of engagement, but also many questions about and how to scale up faster. Today we heard from BMW Group about their plans, and it was exciting to hear that BMW announced at the conference a cooperation with TEAL Mobility, a joint venture between Air Liquide and TotalEnergies; BMW is driven to build the hydrogen ecosystem for their launch in 2028 with partners. I also learned from Kathryn Wunderle that Air Products is ambitious, and very driven to supply also Europe with hydrogen, either from their international GW projects or based on the operations in Europe. I tried to contribute to the event with my presentation by providing data insights Hyfindr is having on how the global hydrogen economy is developing as a whole, in particular regarding the technical supply chain. Based on the several hundred thousand pageviews and the type of engagements performed thereafter we have millions of datapoints and clear signals that the hydrogen economy is marching on - against all odds, in particular internationally. Building a new economy is not a walk in the park. It requires engagement and leadership from professionals who want to make it happen. I met many of these people at the great event organized from Ultima Media Germany GmbH. This Event of Süddeutsche Zeitung in my view plays an important role for European OEMs and related suppliers in Germany to connect and to jointly make a continued push forward. Thank you Anne von Türckheim-Horch for putting this event together. The event is still going on today and I am looking forward to gain more insights from other professionals. And on a personal level, it was great that Steven Oji and I had the chance to meet some familiar faces like Carsten Retzke and Dr. Bernhard Wienk-Borgert.
