It was an honour to share our story and products with Michael Kellner, Parliamentary State Secretary of the BMWK, and the BMWK, alongside fellow pioneers BLUU Seafood and traceless materials. The 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐦 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐢𝐨-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞. From new foods to plastic alternatives, startups like ours are proving that 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐠𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝.     Bioökonomie: Startups arbeiten erfolgreich an klimafreundlichen Verfahren Alternative Proteine und Kunststoffe sind nur zwei Beispiele aus der vielfältigen Welt der Bioökonomie. Ziel ist es, durch neue Verfahren klimafreundlicher, ressourceneffizienter und damit zukunftsfähig zu arbeiten. Michael Kellner, der Parlamentarische Staatssekretär im BMWK, hat sich in Hamburg bei einigen Bioökonomie-Startups umgesehen, wie dort an neuen Verfahren und Produkten gearbeitet wird.     A farmer, a politician, a retailer and a scientist meet for breakfast. 🍽️ Not a joke, but the type of collaboration needed to drive lasting change in the food system. Last week, Infinite Roots®, together with the REWE Group and Formo, hosted a breakfast at the 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝. Under the patronage of Albert Stegemann (CDU / CSU), we were joined by the German Farmers Association, multidisciplinary experts and parliamentarians across party lines. Together, we discussed what a 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞. The opportunity for European consumers is clear: ↳↳ 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐲 𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Clean, high quality and nutritious food for consumers. ↳↳ 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡: Food production with minimal planetary resource consumption and emissions footprint. ↳↳ 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲: Reliable and local food supply, independent of fragile supply chains and geopolitical shocks. Philip Tigges (Infinite Roots), Gerald Dohme (Deutscher Bauernverband e.V.), Raffael Wohlgensinger (Formo) and Clément Tischer (REWE Group) emphasised the need for collaboration across the ecosystem, incl. startups, farmers and industry players in order to make high quality and sustainable food available for everyone. Such an ecosystem needs to be enabled by regulators through safe, predictable and swift regulatory approval processes. 🌍 The breakfast gave us the opportunity to showcase our mycelium products with amazing feedback from the attendees. 🍄🟫 At Infinite Roots, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 in Europe through innovation and collaboration. Born and raised in Hamburg, she took her first steps into the world of mycelium as a working student while diving into her BSc in Global Responsibility and Leadership at the University of Groningen College Fryslán. Since December 2022, Lilly has navigated the vibrant landscape of our company, evolving from a Junior Internal Functions Associate into her current role.
