Die LEONHARD BREITENBACH GMBH bietet auf ihrer neuen CNC-Hochleistungs-Tiefbohrmaschine der Marke WOHLENBERG alle Arten von Präzisions-Tiefbohrungen mit minimalen Bohrungstoleranzen an. Der Einsatz hochwertiger Bohrwerkzeuge und ein innovatives Reinigungssystem für Bohröl ermöglichen Bohrungen in Bauteilen aus Stahl und Guss. Die maximale Bohrtiefe einseitig liegt bei 9.000 mm. Von 2 Seiten gebohrt schaffen die Spezialisten aus Siegen 12.000 mm. Folgende Bohrverfahren sind bei BREITENBACH möglich: BTA-Bohren, Ziehaufbohren, Aufbohren. Bohren mit drehendem Werkstück und Bohrwerkzeug, drehendem Werkstück stehendem Bohrwerkzeug oder stehendem Werkstück und drehendem Bohrwerkzeug möglich.

High flexibility in a family business Leonhard Breitenbach GmbH has a wide customer range all around the world. Some are constant customers, which have a continuous demand for new rolls. Others buy rolls only if they have a crash or the rolls wear out after 10 and more years in production. One customer form the UK bought his last roll from Leonhard Breitenbach GmbH in 2006. Normally he has only a minimum wear on his rolls and therefore he never ordered a spare roll. Four years ago, this customer called and reported about a crash, he had on his machine. One roll was damaged and he asked whether we could repair it. Sometimes such a repair is possible, if the damage is not too big. Unfortunately in this case there was no chance for a repair, At the barrel end, big pieces were broken out and the peripherally drilled bores and also connection bores were visible. After checking the pictures, which the customer sent, we had to inform him, that a repair is not possible and it would take approx. 5 months to produce a new roll. The customer told us, that this is not possible, because he cannot produce without the roll, his production is on hold and he is losing every week 150,000.- to 200,000.- Pound Sterling. Service is very important for us at Leonhard Breitenbach GmbH, thus sales manager, casting manager and production manager got together for a meeting and discussed how to help our customer in this case. Casting plans were quickly changed and production arranged for some extra shifts. At the end our customer was able to install the new roll after 8 weeks and restart his production. The high quality level at Leonhard Breitenbach GmbH ensured, that the roll was produced in the same good quality as the original roll and they could produce the same constant and good quality right after start-up again. #breitenbach #walzenspezialist #highflexibility #rolls #

And if you are wondering what the Leonhard Breitenbach GmbH company has to do with this, here is the explanation: So-called printing cylinders are required for painting/printing metal packaging, such as ravioli tins. The basic body of the cylinder is casted in our foundry from the material chilled cast iron and is characterized by a very hard surface (>600 HV). The shrink-fitted journals are usually made of unhardened forged steel. In order to achieve an optimum printing result, the homogeneity of the surface is crucial. To meet these requirements, the cylinders are ground on one of our grinding machines and polished afterwards. For this reason, all well-known machine builders as well as end customers have trusted Breitenbach's experience in this field for decades.
