Heute fand bei Lürssen am Standort Bremen der Tag der Ausbildung statt, an dem Schüler/innen gemeinsam mit ihren Eltern hinter die Kulissen der Ausbildungswerkstatt und der Werft blicken durften. Um die Berufe besser darstellen zu können, wurde der Weg einer Handyhalterung von der Planung über das Produktdesign bis hin zur Fertigung gezeigt! Nun sind alle Teilnehmenden stolzer Besitzer einer solchen Halterung! Wir freuen uns, 30 Schüler/innen ein Stück in ihrer Berufswahl unterstützen zu können! #tagderausbildung #ausbildung #dualesstudium

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2024 at the SuperYacht Village, where we showcased many of our recently delivered yachts and enjoyed great conversations with industry partners, clients, and friends. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is coming up next week in sunny Florida, where our U.S. office is based. Timothy Hamilton, Director of Lurssen Americas, and the team are excited to share the latest in design, technology, and recent deliveries. The U.S. is home to many Lürssen yachts and represents one of our largest client bases. We look forward to welcoming you all to the Superyacht Village at Stand 1.  

The annual Superyacht Charities golf event brings together yachting professionals to raise funds and awareness for a number of charities and hurricane relief efforts. The Lürssen team completed the course and had a good time as par, extending a special thank you to the organisers for putting on a fantastic event.

AHPO (115.10 m) #OctoberCalendarYacht This 115m superyacht was commissioned by a repeat client who previously owned an 86m Lürssen. With both interior and exterior design by NUVOLARI LENARD , she was delivered in 2021. AHPO was built to promote a healthy, family-focused lifestyle on board, featuring numerous facilities for sports and activities, including an extra-large gym on the sky lounge deck and a spacious wellness area on the lower deck. Lürssen’s engineering team equipped her with innovative, bespoke technologies, including generators with a heat recovery system that warms the pool water, reducing electrical power usage and lowering emissions. Dynamic positioning enables electronic anchoring in sensitive and remote areas, protecting the seabed and allowing for safe mooring regardless of water depth. Photo by Guillaume Plisson

The message at the Blue Marine Yacht Club auction during the Monaco Yacht Show S.A.M. was clear. It is crucial to protect at least 30% of the world’s land and oceans by 2030. In support of raising awareness and donations for the 30x30 project, Lürssen supported the event, and our team participated in the Ventoux Challenge. An epic three-day cycling event tackling the iconic Mont Ventoux and arriving the evening before the start of the show. Blue Marine Foundation has worked tirelessly and now manages over 60 projects with nearly 200 partners in more than 24 countries, making a significant international contribution towards the 30x30 target. However, as Head of Partnerships at Blue Marine Foundation, Sara-Jane Skinner, explains: “The report card on 30x30 progress thus far could be best described as ‘must try harder.’ Only 8% of the global ocean is currently designated as protected, but only 3% is considered effectively protected. There must be a tenfold quantitative and qualitative improvement in the next six years.” Speaking about Lürssen’s long-term commitment and support of Blue Marine Foundation, Co-founder George Duffield comments: “Lürssen was pivotal in securing one of the largest fully protected areas in the Atlantic, at Ascension Island. Blue Marine Foundation partnered with Lürssen to create an endowment fund of £2 million for the benefit of the resident community, protecting 445,000 sq km of ocean from the sale of fishing licenses to highly destructive industrial tuna vessels.” All proceeds raised went directly towards ocean conservation. In attendance were HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, and many members of the yachting industry all out to support this worthy cause.
