Sunny days ahead for decarbonization☀️ The first PVT modules of Sunmaxx PVT are up on the roof of our MAHLE plant in Vaihingen/ Enz. And we’re one step closer to Germany’s largest PVT system with hybrid modules—underlining our commitment to sustainable energy and decarbonization. MAHLE is strategic investor and development partner of Sunmaxx. More than 1,000 Sunmaxx PVT modules will become Germany’s largest photovoltaic thermal plant on an area of almost 2,000 m2. Powered by MAHLE thermal management expertise, it will supply the MAHLE plant with green electricity and approximately 1.2 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of thermal energy annually. MAHLE leading in environmental and climate protection The non-profit Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) has honored the MAHLE for its continuous efforts and good results in the areas of environmental and climate protection. In the 2024 CDP rating, MAHLE received a grade “A” in the area of climate protection. In the area of water supply, the rating improved from the previous year to “A-”. This made MAHLE one of the companies that achieved the best possible classification of “Leadership”. “This excellent rating is a clear evidence of the successful implementation of our sustainability strategy and an important signal to our customers, business partners, investors, and employees,” said Georg Dietz, Member of the Management Board of the MAHLE Group and responsible for sustainability, health, occupational safety, and environmental management. According to CDP’s assessment methodology, companies that have been rated with the grade “A” stand out as leaders in climate protection. World's smallest wallbox made by MAHLE chargeBIG MAHLE chargeBIG, the MAHLE subsidiary specializing in intelligent charging, now presents the world’s smallest wallbox in two variants. The “smallBOX” is available as an ECO version with a charging power of 7.4 kilowatts (kW) and as a PRO version with a charging power of 22 kW. smallBOX PRO can fully charge electric vehicles in three to four hours. The wallbox is connected to the integrated and central charging distributor known as “chargeCLUSTER”, also from MAHLE chargeBIG. It is available with two (size S), six (size M), or up to 36 charging points (size L). This new, modular approach makes it possible to respond flexibly to customer demands while further optimizing the costs per charging point. The launch of the new chargeCLUSTER charging distributor means all chargeBIG smallBOX charging systems are equipped with dynamic load management and can be billed in compliance with calibration regulations. The new generation of products from MAHLE chargeBIG is now available to order. “Our innovative smallBOX approach enables us to reduce installation times and costs and, therefore, make the electrification of parking spaces as easy as possible for the customer,” says Dr. Matthias Kreimeier, CEO of MAHLE chargeBIG. “The new chargeCLUSTER systems can be combined with each other as desired.
