Bavaria in the heart of Baden-Württemberg Our summer party 2024 at Mehrer was a great success! Under the motto "Bavarian", our dedicated trainees ensured a festive opening and lovingly organised the event. We enjoyed delicious food, refreshing cocktails and tasty ice cream. Team games such as beer mug lifting and the plop game added to the fun and team spirit. A self-made photo wall captured the best moments. Each participant received a gingerbread heart and a certificate as a souvenir. A big thank you to our apprentices for the great organisation and to all colleagues for their enthusiasm. A special chapter comes to an end! 🎉 After almost 46 years, we bid farewell to our esteemed colleague Edgar Schreiber as he takes his well-deserved retirement. He began his career in August 1976 as an apprentice mechanic. After his military service he returned to us in 1982. Edgar has worked as a service mechanic all over the world, installing, maintaining and repairing machines.  In recent years he has focused more and more on repair work in our workshop and has also been recognised as a 'competent person for pressure'. Edgar's long career is representative of the many employees who have contributed to Mehrer's success over the decades. Dear Edgar, thank you for your loyalty, commitment and passion. Hydrogen: The Colorful Path to a Climate-Neutral Future 🌈 Hydrogen, the unassuming element, offers precisely that potential. Each color represents a different production method and carries its own environmental impact. Let's take a look: 🩶 Grey hydrogen: Produced from fossil fuels, emits 10 tonnes of CO₂ per tonne of hydrogen. 🖤 Black/brown hydrogen: Derived from coal or lignite, highly polluting, but soon to be phased out in Germany. 💙 Blue hydrogen: Similar to grey hydrogen, but with CO₂ capture and storage, almost climate-neutral. 💚 Green hydrogen: The hero of the future! What an unforgettable evening at the Balinger Kulturfest 2024! 🎉 Last Tuesday was a night full of energy, joy and music - a real highlight of the festival. Mehrer had the pleasure of sponsoring this unforgettable evening where the band Monotypes filled the market square in Balingen with their infectious sounds. The atmosphere was fantastic and it was clear to see how much everyone enjoyed the evening. But it was not only a musical highlight: our popcorn sale was a huge success!
