The story behind this photo: Professor Takiguchi of #Hamamatsu ’s „The Graduate School for the Creation of New Photonics Industries (GPI)“ visited us yesterday together with an Japanese delegation, organized by JETRO - Japan External Trade Organization . Just a day earlier he requested me to please receive urgently selected #infrared #detectors for his research in #NDIR #gas #sensors. And thanks to the customer-focused approach of our sales & logistics team he got during the delegation visit exactly the #IR #detectors in record time. Many thanks to Elke Döpel, Dennis Hermann & Diana Stößel for making this possible! Stolz, zuversichtlich und mit einer besonderen Begegnung habe ich die großartige Preisverleihung der IHK Ostthüringen zu Gera am vergangenen Donnerstag verlassen. Dort wurde erstmalig mit dem Preis für „Unternehmen in Verantwortung“ besonderes gesellschaftliches Engagement honoriert, wobei auch ökologische und ökonomische Aspekte in die Bewertung einflossen. Es ist toll, dass unser Engagement mit dem 2. Platz gewürdigt wurde – vielen Dank dafür. Ein weiteres persönliches Highlight war für mich an diesem Abend, den Bundespräsidenten a.D. Prof. Dr. Horst Köhler kennenzulernen. Schon zu Studienzeiten bewunderte ich sein Wissen und sein vorausschauendes Gespür für wirtschaftliche Herausforderungen. Mit inzwischen 81 Jahren ist er noch topfit und zeigte sich in kleiner Gesprächsrunde hocherfreut über die jungen, innovativen und aufstrebenden Unternehmen in Ostdeutschland. Es war eine wirklich faszinierende Begegnung, für die ich sehr dankbar bin. #ihk #award --- I left the great award ceremony at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry East Thuriniga of Gera proud, confident and with a special encounter. For the first time, the "Companies in Responsibility" award was given for outstanding social commitment, taking into account ecological and economic aspects. It's great that our commitment was rewarded with 2nd place - thank you very much.  Another personal highlight for me was meeting the former Federal President Prof. Dr. Horst Köhler. Even as a student, I admired his knowledge and foresight on economic challenges. At the age of 81, he is still in top form and was delighted to talk about the young, innovative and emerging companies in eastern Germany. It was a truly fascinating meeting for which I am very grateful. 

I 👔 am currently at the #CIOE in Shenzhen 🇨🇳with our employees 🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♀️from the Application Center in Qingdao. So far, I have had many good discussions with existing customers and new leads and have been able to help for example in the etCO2 sector 🏥🩺🚑 with our unique emitters 🔦and pyros 🧨 that make a perfect match. Einmal live sehen, wie Mikroelektronik und Sensorik hergestellt werden: Beim Tag der offenen Türen am TRIDELTA CAMPUS HERMSDORF, zu dem mehrere Unternehmen der Standort-Initiative am 07.09.2024 einluden, war das Interesse an unseren Produktionsrundgängen riesig und wir blicken auf einen sehr erfolgreichen Tag zurück. Mitarbeitende zeigten Angehörigen stolz ihren Arbeitsplatz, Ehemalige der Hermsdorfer Werke kamen, genauso wie zahlreiche Job-Interessierte und Freizeit-Gäste. Unsere Mitarbeitenden erklärten geduldig und leidenschaftlich Stunde um Stunde, wie Detektoren, Emitter und Sensoren unter modernsten Bedingungen - robotergestützt und automatisiert - hergestellt werden. Vorträge über unseren Beitrag zur Raumfahrttechnik, die Demonstration unserer Inertialsensorik sowie des neuesten Test-Kits eNDIRi2 zeigten den Besuchenden eindrucksvoll, was uns als Weltmarktführer bei der Entwicklung und Produktion anspruchsvoller kundenspezifischer Elektronik-Lösungen ausmacht. Employees proudly showed their workplaces to family members, former employees of the Hermsdorfer factories came, as did numerous job seekers and leisure guests. Hour after hour, our employees patiently and passionately explained how detectors, emitters and sensors are manufactured under state-of-the-art conditions - robot-supported and automated. Presentations on our contribution to space technology, demonstrations of our inertial sensor technology and the latest eNDIRi2 test kit gave visitors an impressive insight into what makes us a world leader in the design and manufacture of sophisticated custom electronic solutions. Studies have already shown that diversity increases performance and therefore success, especially in a corporate context. The more diverse we are, the better we are. Diversity enriches us, and I think we should have more of it: Different horizons of experience, approaches and enthusiasm. For me as an entrepreneur and manager, these are the impulses for growth and innovation.
