Motek: Robot software for maximum efficiency – At this year's Motek, NAGEL Maschinen- und Werkzeugfabrik GmbH will be represented with a focus on #robotics and #dosing technology. The team will provide insights into the #latestdevelopments presented by the company, and will particularly highlight the #advantages of the specially developed #robotsoftware for #manufacturing processes. “Our goal at the trade fair is to present the innovative combination of #dosing technology, #assembly technology and #joining technology,” says the expert. NAGEL will be demonstrating several practical robot applications at its stand, showing visitors how efficiently and precisely components can be processed and assembled in industrial manufacturing processes. One particular highlight is the “path planning tool”, a specially developed #software that considerably #simplifies the programming and planning effort for #robot paths. “With this software, we can load #components, #machines and the #robot into a simulation environment and create the desired robot paths with a single click. The tool allows us to simulate the robot's movements and check the configurations before implementing them in the real world. This #saves customers #time and #money and prevents #costly misconfigurations.” Compared to conventional solutions, NAGEL relies on an intuitive #user interface that allows even skilled workers without in-depth programming knowledge to work efficiently with the tool. “Many comparable programs are complex and require #CAD expertise. Our solution, on the other hand, is kept simple enough for any manufacturing environment to use with ease.” This is also why large companies rely on this software. “A key #advantage for customers is that they get everything from a single source – from the machine to the software. This means #fewer coordination issues and #better integration into the manufacturing process." But it's not just large companies that benefit from the technology. The software also offers clear advantages for small and medium-sized companies by simplifying and accelerating the automation process. “Even companies with little robot know-how can efficiently automate their processes thanks to the intuitive operation and the software pays for itself in a short time." In addition to the software, Nagel will be presenting further solutions at the Motek trade fair, including various robotic applications in the field of dosing and #joining technology that are already being used successfully by customers. Our experts summarize: “Our #solutions are designed to make production #more efficient, #more flexible and #simpler. New insights into bending and welding behavior in the hairpin stator process chain: #NAGEL, #LambdaResins, Gehring Technologies GmbH + Co. KG and WAFIOS Aktiengesellschaft are showing at “Coiltech®, International Coil Winding Exhibition Pordenone” how they are jointly driving new standards in #electricmotor production. At this year's Coiltech Pordenone, an important development project of a consortium consisting of #Gehring, #Wafios, Aurubis and SHWire, Schwering & Hasse Elektrodraht will be presented, which, after about 1.5 years of joint research, provides new insights along the value chain for the production of #hairpinstators. #Aurubis provided three different #coppermaterials for the investigations: Cu-OFE, Cu-ETP1 and a Cu-ETP1 with significantly reduced oxygen content. The main difference between these material grades lies in the oxygen content, which is adjusted by various manufacturing processes. #SHWire: The starting material was then processed into flat wire suitable for hairpin processes in cars. The task here was to change the mechanical properties of the flat wire so that their effects on the subsequent bending and welding processes could be investigated. This was achieved by a special design of the drawing and lacquering process, which changes the physical crystal structure of the copper. The enameled wire was then used at #Wafios for bending tests. The main focus of the tests was to examine the dispersion of the bending angle of the different batches. In addition, the enameled wire was mechanically stripped to prepare it for welding tests. #Gehring carried out welding tests on the wires with different copper qualities. In order to assess the quality of the welds, these were evaluated using X-rays and micrographs. The structure in the weld and heat-affected zone of the copper materials was analyzed, as were the pores that formed, and the oxygen content was determined. In addition, tensile tests were carried out to determine the mechanical strength. In addition, #LambdaResins is working on a series of new casting resins, including Lambdapox 4, Lambdapox 5 and Lambdapox 6. While Lambdapox 6 offers a thermal conductivity of 6 W/mK, Lambdapox 4 and Lambdapox 5 are characterized by their lower viscosity and finer filler particle size. These properties improve the impregnation capability, especially for coils and stator slots, which is a great advantage in many applications. #NAGEL relies on its high-precision dispensing machines for the industrial application of Lambda-Pox. These systems, which are specially designed for processing the abrasive and highly filled casting resins, ensure a consistent and reliable application – a decisive advantage for companies that rely on quality and efficiency. For more information and detailed results, visit NAGEL, Lambda Resins, Gehring and WAFIOS at Coiltech 2024 in Pordenone, exhibition stand: Hall 7 Stand B22
