🏰 Innovation through heritage: resilience in times of climate change | Vienna & online | 3–5 March 🏰 As technology evolves and the climate shifts, the need to protect and reimagine our #culturalheritage grows — not just to preserve it, but to use it as a resource for research, social cohesion, and economic growth. That’s exactly what The Alliance for Research on Cultural Heritage in Europe (#ARCHE) is set to do. Hosted by Time Machine Organisation, in collaboration with EIT Culture & Creativity, Bundesministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung, and Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport (BMKOES), ARCHE’s conference will explore how national and European research and funding policies can work together to strengthen cultural heritage against climate change. The goal? A European Partnership Framework for lasting resilience. Policymakers, thought leaders, and innovators will gather to discuss digitisation, technology, climate adaptation, and resilience. Will you be there? Registrations are still open: https://lnkd.in/d_cj4Xue

The Final Report of the 🇪🇺 #ScienceDiplomacy Working Groups on a European Framework for Science Diplomacy has been published! In her foreword, Ekaterina Zaharieva said, “science diplomacy helps keep the international science system open. Through the universal language of science, we can build and maintain bridges even when formal relations between nations are strained. […] We must implement the necessary safeguards to ensure that Europe keeps its competitive edge and technological sovereignty. […] Thankfully, through Horizon Europe, the EU has one of the world’s most powerful tools of science diplomacy.” The co-creation process involving 130 experts has been a living laboratory, resulting in a report with 9 recommendations and 40 concrete actions. It has the potential to become a landmark document and provide an excellent base for the development of a European Framework for Science Diplomacy. Thanks to all science and diplomacy experts involved for their hard work, which will certainly inspire the next steps to be taken by the EU.
