A view of our premises from above! If we compare today's view with the time shortly after our move, a lot has changed: we recently expanded our PV system - on the roof of the new shelter for bicycles and company vehicles. This means we can now generate even more sustainable energy and further increase our contribution to the environment. The lawn and plants around our buildings have also grown, giving the neighbourhood a green, lively ambience. Double Tower - Double Performance This motto stands for our latest innovation. Two gantries are integrated into our robot, which stand for even higher speed. This makes changeover times faster and more efficient. Another advantage: this gantry extension can be installed in both the PRCS20 and the PRCS30. It is also possible to equip two turnstiles at the same time - so one robot can process two systems at the same time. The gantry extension is just one of many options for upgrading our robots. You never stop learning! The apprentices at the Glave Group receive internal training once or twice a week. This gives them the opportunity to expand their knowledge across departments and professions. Yesterday, the introduction to NLT Automation GmbH was on the agenda. Our colleagues Frieso and Inka (former apprentices of the Glave Group) guided the apprentices through the company. In addition to a tour of the departments in the new office building, the production halls were also visited. Of course, a look at one of our self-developed and built robots was not to be missed. During their apprenticeship, our apprentices are expected to get to know all four companies of the Glave Group: Norder Band AG, Norder Band und Blech GmbH, NORICS GmbH and NLT Automation GmbH.

Why waste time and money assembling a new robot when you can do it without long downtimes? The advantage for our customers is that the design of our robots enables efficient on-site assembly. By pre-commissioning the robot in-house, we can ensure that it can be put into operation directly at the customer's premises after only a short set-up time. This minimises production downtime and significantly reduces costs for our customers. Thanks to our co-operation with our sister company Norder Band AG, we are also in the advantageous position of being able to test our machines directly in operation under real conditions. With the broad spectrum of specialists, we can optimally exploit the potential for optimisation. The advantage of this is that we do as much as possible ourselves. This avoids dependence on other companies, which also benefits the speed of assembly.

It's time for a "Schichtwechsel" The "Schichtwechsel" is a nationwide day of action in which employees who work in a WfbM (workshop for disabled people) swap jobs for a day. We are delighted to be part of this great project. Arthur van der Pütten, who normally works in production at our sister company Norder Band und Blech GmbH, actively supported the woodworking department at Birkenhof (Behindertenhilfe Norden gGmbH). His swap partner Nils Tamminga from the Behindertenhilfe Norden supported our marketing team. Among other things, he gained insights into our social media work, websites and trade fair planning. He was then able to put his theoretical knowledge directly into practice with the camera. Everyone involved was delighted with the very successful day. Our customers worldwide In which countries are our robots and systems already in action and in which will they be in the near future? The attached map provides an overview. We have successfully delivered robots beyond the borders of Germany - even to countries outside the EU. Even the four great oceans of the world don't stop our robots, reaching as far as Asia, Australia, and America. For many of our colleagues, it is a great opportunity to travel the world and experience new cultures – just like recently. Extending existing robots with modules Our colleagues recently travelled to Australia to equip a robot with an ECU (Edge Control Unit) at a customer's site. This precisely checks the quality of the tool edge and reliably recognises possible breakages. The ECU also classifies the tools for further production. This automation replaces the previous manual tool inspection with an objective, precise measurement that ensures product quality and enables wear-appropriate sorting. The modules we have developed add additional functions to our robots and take automation to the next level. A major advantage is that the add-ons can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems. New transformer, new power! We have successfully modernised our energy infrastructure at our sister companies Norder Band und Blech GmbH and Norder Band AG! To do this, it was necessary to completely shut down the production operations for several days. The commercial operations were supplied by backup generators. Despite this challenge, we were able to realise the complete conversion in just 5 days, over a weekend. As part of the modernisation, we installed a new 20 kV medium-voltage switchgear and completely replaced the LV switchgear cabinets. This results in an increase in transformer output from 800kVA to 1200kVA each. With this measure, we are ideally equipped for the requirements of the future and can work more efficiently and with higher performance. #electronic #power #gear #energy
