Did you know that up to 97% of the materials used in a Nordex wind turbine can be recycled? At the Nordex Group, we commit to re-use, recycle, or recover 100% of decommissioned blades, aligning with WindEurope's call for a Europe-wide landfill ban for decommissioned wind turbine blades by 2025 to accelerate the development of sustainable recycling technologies for composite materials. In support of this initiative, Nordex has introduced an internal "Policy for Sustainable Preparation of Reuse and Recycling of Wind Turbine Blades". This policy outlines measures to ensure the environmentally friendly and safe preparation for re-use, recycling, and disposal of rotor blades. To achieve these European goals recycling hubs will be necessary. Today is #GlobalRecyclingDay2025, a great opportunity to highlight selected recycling solutions that are already available or will emerge in the upcoming years: Waste2Fiber Project: Led by ACCIONA and RenerCycle, the Waste2Fiber project has successfully passed the laboratory and pre-industrial phases with highly positive results. The industrial plant, capable of processing up to 10,000 tons of material per year, is set to become operational next to our blade production plant in Lumbier (Navarra) starting in June 2026. Gjenkraft AS: Gjenkraft is a technology developer and service provider for recycling end-of-use wind turbine blades. With its thermo-chemical process, Gjenkraft recovers valuable raw materials from composite waste. Gjenkraft is currently commercializing its technology and scaling its operations in Norway to a capacity of 5,000 tons per year by the end of 2025. Through its involvement in development projects with process product off-takers, Gjenkraft incorporates recovered materials, like fibers and chemicals, into new high-end products. NOVO-TECH GmbH & Co. KG: Based in Aschersleben, Germany, NOVO-TECH has been processing rotor blades since 2020 to create products such as decking boards, garden furniture, and other outdoor products. Their process follows Cradle to Cradle principles, ensuring a sustainable lifecycle for the materials. We look forward to continuing our dialogue and cooperation in the future. Together we can drive the wind industry towards an even more sustainable future! #TogetherForChange #GlobalRecyclingDay2025 #greenenergy #NordexGroup

Technology fuels our modern life, but have you ever considered its hidden cost to the planet? Every digital interaction leaves a carbon footprint contributing to climate change. For instance, 320 billion emails are sent daily, with each email emitting an average of 4g of CO2, equivalent to a light bulb turned on for 6 minutes. To put this into perspective: Just one less email per user per day in the UK could reduce emissions by 16,433 tonnes of CO2, equivalent to 81,152 flights from London to Madrid! Join #TeamNordex today on #DigitalCleanupDay and reduce your digital carbon footprint with three simple actions: Clean out digital trash: Delete unnecessary files from hard drives, backups, and cloud services to free up storage space and reduce your carbon footprint. Avoid creating duplicates, delete them instead. Declutter emails: Minimize unnecessary email correspondence to reduce inbox clutter and carbon footprint. Regularly delete old emails from the inbox, sent items, spam, and junk folders. Unsubscribe from email subscriptions you do not need. Reduce storage usage: Save images at lower resolutions and convert presentations to PDFs to reduce the energy needed to store, transmit and display them. Let's make a positive impact together by being mindful of our digital footprint! #TogetherForChange #NordexGroup

Last Saturday, #InternationalWomensDay2025 shone a spotlight on the importance of driving change to advance women's rights, promote gender equality, and foster empowerment. Around this specific day, we extended our strategic goals and initiatives with local activities: From keynotes on unconscious bias and inclusive communication in Spain, to a healthcare talk in India, to a colleague-led workshop in the UK, #TeamNordex is committed to tackling workplace stereotypes and promoting women's wellbeing and advancement. Watch the video of colleagues from Nordex France & Mediterranean region, which illustrates our commitment to diversity and inclusion and reinforces our values. Our Global Learning & Development team continues to support our D&I strategy by providing digital learning resources on identifying bias and stereotypes in the workplace for all employees worldwide. However, the issue of gender equality is not sufficiently addressed by local initiatives on one day of the year: Recognising the need for continued work on this issue in the wind industry and within our own organisation, we are committed to creating a more inclusive and equitable workplace for all through the implementation of ambitious targets and initiatives aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 5 in our sustainability strategy. We have set key targets to drive our diversity and inclusion initiatives forward, including achieving 25% female representation in management positions, maintaining 40% female participation in our talent development programme, and conducting regular D&I surveys and data analysis to gather insights directly from our team members. Together, we are driving positive change and creating a more inclusive environment for all. #TogetherForChange #DiversityAndInclusion #NordexGroup
