We had a fantastic time at the 13th CrowdCon by EUROCROWD and the 4th Fintics by the Digital Lending Association in Brussels! Our CEO, Dr. Johannes Schmitt, participated in a panel discussion titled "What's next? Crypto Assets, DLT & Securitization in Crowdfunding," alongside Andreas Knopf LL.M. and other industry leaders. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with leading crowdfunding platforms, like Invesdor DACH and Doorway, and technology providers like LenderKit to discuss the future of tokenization. We were very happy to see the keen interest of crowdfunding platforms in exploring the issuance of blockchain-based securities and their potential to enhance the EU crowdfunding ecosystem. A big thank you to the organizers, as well as all the panelists, for facilitating such an engaging event! #EuroCrowd #Crowdfunding #Tokenization #NYALA
On Friday I had the pleasure to attend, along with Celina Homps, the 13th CrowdCon by EUROCROWD in collaboration with the 4th Fintics by the Digital Lending Association in Brussels. I joined the first panel of the 2nd conference day, "What's next? Crypto Assets, DLT & Securitization in Crowdfunding". I would like to thank the organizers Oliver Gajda and Constantin Fabricius as well as my panel host Reid Feldman for accommodating my presence on a rather short notice! I really enjoyed the conversation with Andreas Knopf LL.M. who represented our client Invesdor DACH and described how Invesdor is using NYALA's technological and regulatory solution, Ed Ludbrook from Dacxi Chain and Dr. Joachim Schwerin from the European Commission. Several interesting short-term challenges were discussed but everyone agreed that DLT-based securities registrars (which exist in some EU countries already) as well as DLT-based trading and settlement systems (which are possible within the EU Pilot Regime's sandbox) have the potential to make the EU crowdfunding space on the whole much more successful.
