🐛 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗲? Our black soldier fly larvae are much more than a sustainable solution to food waste—they play a crucial role in creating a local, eco-friendly protein source for animals. Here’s how: Recently, we visited Norbert Dyckers’ pig farm, where our insect larvae are fed fresh and alive to pigs. 🐷 The results? Happier, healthier pigs! Pigs are natural omnivores, and the animal protein from the larvae makes them stronger and more robust. Plus, searching for larvae under straw keeps them entertained and improves their welfare. It’s also a sustainable solution—by using insect protein, we’re reducing the need for soy imports and providing local farmers with a high-quality, natural feed source. This is why we farm insect larvae: to close the loop on organic waste, boost animal welfare, and create a circular economy that benefits both farmers and the planet. 🌱 #InsectFarming #AnimalWelfare #CircularEconomy #LocalProtein #PigFarming #BlackSoldierFly

🌱 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗢𝗺𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮 Our Kenyan pilot plant, in collaboration with Limbua, is making a difference for smallholder farmers like Stephen Mbogo and his wife. They have 50 chickens and grow macadamia, avocado, and coffee. By working with LIMBUA Deutschland GmbH / LIMBUA Group Limited, Stephen can sell his products at a fair price and benefit from our upcycling process. Through our plant, food waste is converted into high-value insect protein. Stephen receives insect residues as fertilizer and fresh insect larvae as feed for his chickens, reducing costs and supporting more sustainable farming practices. We are committed to expanding this impact and giving more smallholder farmers access to these innovative products! 🌍 #CircularEconomy #SmallholderFarmers #Kenya #Agriculture #Poultry

🥑 Upcycling Food By-Products with Insect Technology ♻️   In avocado oil production, pulp and sludge is produced as by-products, often left without a use. Many food companies, do not have a proper use for their by-products: they are often dumped, composted, or used for biogas!   We believe they can be better valorized using black soldier fly larvae. Omnivore Recycling works at LIMBUAs avocado processing plant, where we’re tackling this challenge head-on! 🥑✨   By upcycling organic waste into valuable insect protein and fertilizer, we’re not only enhancing sustainability but also creating economic value. If you have a steady waste stream that you want to turn into a high-value resource, let’s connect—it’s a win for both your business and the environment! 🌍♻️ #CircularEconomy #InsectTechnology #WasteValorization #Upcycling

Feeding the Future: Sustainable Insect Feed and Fertilizer for Kenyan Smallholder Farmers 🐛🌾 Our recycling container is up and running at LIMBUA, where we’re transforming food waste into valuable insect protein. Today, we’re showcasing how this innovative solution benefits local smallholder farmers in Kenya. The larvae we produce provide a crucial source of affordable, high-quality chicken feed 🐔—something that’s desperately needed by farmers who often struggle to access such resources. What makes this feed truly sustainable is that it’s produced locally, without requiring additional resources. 🌱 But that’s not all: the residues from our insect production are also incredibly valuable. These by-products are given to farmers as high-quality fertilizer 🌾, boosting their crop production—a key factor in improving food security and livelihoods. Our partnership with LIMBUA Deutschland GmbH / LIMBUA Group Limited is especially impactful because they have strong business relationships with over 10,000 smallholder farmers. This means that in the future, thousands of farmers will have access to these sustainable insect products, furthering our mission to support agriculture in a way that’s good for both people and the planet. 🌍💪 #CircularEconomy #InsectProtein #SmallholderFarmers

🚀 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗨𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴! 🌍 Behind us, you can see our Kenyan pilot container in action. 🎉 For some customers, a single container is sufficient to process all their food waste, while for others, we take care of scaling the system to meet their needs. This pilot farm is crucial as we validate our technology under local conditions and determine the optimal parameters for scaling up to a full-scale factory—reducing risks for our customers! It’s also an opportunity to educate our team on the process and to inform the community and farmers about the benefits of insect larvae and their organic fertilizer. A huge thanks to our incredible team and our partners at LIMBUA Deutschland GmbH / LIMBUA Group Limited for making this possible. We’re excited to share more insights as we continue this journey. Stay tuned for updates! 🌱 #Cleantech #CircularEconomy #KenyanFarmers #InsectFeed
