Inert Sieving with MPUREpro ✅ After printing, you have to get rid of the unmelted powder that surrounds your printed parts. To do so, you can simply transfer your build module to our MPUREpro, the unpacking and sieving station, which gives you the perfect environment to safely unpack your part. Plus, its integrated sieving station automatically processes the unmelted powder which was collected in the overflow cartridges. After the sieving process, the powder is ready for the next print. 🔄 Now, our MPUREpro also supports inert sieving—especially beneficial for sensitive materials like aluminum and titanium. By reducing oxidation risks, inert sieving improves powder quality and consistency, enhancing both safety and reliability in metal 3D printing. ✅ #metal3dprinting #additivemanufacturing

🎓 Research with the Lab Module With interchangeable build modules we enable the operator to be flexible in the use of our metal 3D printing system. The Lab Module for example offers material changes without cleaning the whole machine, making it ideal for material research and testing new materials, including small amounts of precious metals. ✨ While the machine can be operated with one main Material, the Lab Module enables to additionally print with other materials like Titanium or Aluminum. ✅ The Lab Module’s newest feature is the option to pre-heat the build plate up to 200°C! This feature is particularly beneficial for reducing tensions and deformations in certain materials, allowing for optimized performance and improved print quality. For Lab Module owners, this feature is available as a retrofit via software update. 🔄 #additivemanufacturing

Would you rather have two parts welded together, or one 3D printed component? This slider trolley for an INDEX barfeeder is currently manufactured by welding the round turned component to a sheet metal piece. It costs around 127 euro to produce this component, and the weld sometimes fails. Using laser powder bed fusion equipment from One Click Metal (a business in which Index is a majority investor), the company redesigned this component to be just one piece. The simple reduction of part count and process steps means that each slider trolley could be 3D printed for just 29 euro. Batching the parts 42 at a time, it would be possible to produce the needed annual quantity of 520 in 13 builds. I learned about this application during a booth visit at IMTS - International Manufacturing Technology Show to discuss how One Click Metal is making laser powder bed fusion safer, more affordable and operational within a small footprint with its platform. The two machines you see behind me (printer and sieving/depowdering station) are all that's needed to get started; powder is handled through a cannister system that keeps material separated from operators and helps minimize contamination. 🎥 Learn much more in the video we filmed during IMTS: https://bit.ly/4dRaFpx
