🤔 Is it possible to simplify the analysis of multiple proteins in complex environments like the gut microbiome? We put the BeatBox® tissue homogenizer to the test on mouse fecal samples, and found it was able to significantly streamline & accelerate the traditionally long and tedious metaproteomic workflows by enhancing the efficiency of sample preparation, making it ideal for large-scale studies. Combined with high-throughput nLC-MS/MS analysis, the #BeatBox workflow allowed the identification and differentiation of proteins from both the host as well as the gut microbiota.
