'A spatially resolved single-cell genomic atlas of the adult human breast' was published in Nature last year by a team of researchers at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Utilizing our Molecular Cartography platform and other technologies, they constructed the comprehensive Human Breast Cell Atlas at single-cell and spatial resolution, in which they profiled over 700,000 cells. Single-cell multi-omics offers the promise of understanding cellular heterogeneity and complex processes, such as tumor progression. However, current studies rely on non-parallel methods that integrate modalities from different datasets (like transcriptomic and proteomics), muddling our view of cell types or states. A new study from researchers at Aix-Marseille University reveals how newborn mice regenerate heart tissue after injury, but with impaired Purkinje fiber (PF) network development, affecting heart function. Using the Molecular Cartography™ platform, researchers mapped gene expression to identify the role of ventricular trabeculae in this process.
