Excited to share the completion of the #HarlemMeer project in #CentralPark, NYC! This innovative space transforms throughout the year – a pool in summer , ice rink in winter , and event space in spring. We're proud of our work installing 23 Keller Slimline aluminum pivot doors, integrated with Roschmann's steel channel and membrane system. The design also features fixed glass panels and custom window frames, creating a sleek, modern look ✨. Quality is key! Our pivot door system passed the rigorous ASTM E1105 / AAMA 502 water penetration test on the first try ✅. We're also thrilled to say that we completed the project on time, and our client is very satisfied! Did you know that a #façade must undergo extreme testing before it can be built? 🚀 Our mock-up for the Boston Museum of Science has successfully passed the first test phase! At first we subjected the sample and test chamber to both negative and positive pressure to check whether the calculated deflection values for the components were met. Afterward, air tightness was tested, ensuring that leakage limits were not exceeded. 💨 We then sprayed the façade from the outside with  water 🌧️ while maintaining negative pressure inside the test chamber. This tested the water tightness. Finally, wind speeds of up to 125 km/h were generated 🌬️ while the façade was still continuously sprayed. To ensure the façade could also handle the required movements, the base point was shifted using hydraulic cylinders without causing any damage to the components. After the shift, the sample was retested for air and water tightness. All tests were successfully passed, completing the first phase! ✨ And we're already ready for the second test phase, which will take place soon.
