Yesterday, the #ScandriaAlliance had the opportunity to participate in the Brenner Railway Action Group's conference 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 in the European Parliament in Brussels during this year's #EURegionsWeek. 🚄🚉 🇪🇺🛤️ It was an excellent opportunity to exchange views on the #harmonisation of #railway along the #BrennerCorridor and wider #TEN_T network and to learn more about the two mega projects on the #ScanMed corridor: the #BrennerBaseTunnel and the fixed #FehmarnBelt link. Athough these two proejct differ quite substatially in their technical details, they will both be catalysts for a future-oriented transformation of their respective cross-border regions. As the re-appointed European Coordinator Pat Cox put it during the event, organisations such as the #ScandriaAlliance, STRING and the #BrennerRailayActionGroup have an important role to play in this transformation as aggregators of cities and regions along the ScanMed corridor. Many thanks to Land Tirol and the Brenner Railway Action Group for the invitation! #BrennerCorridor #BrennerBaseTunnel #Brenner #Brennerbahn #AktonsgemeinschaftBrennerbahn #FixedFehmarnBelt #FehmarnBelt #ConnectingEurope #SustainableTransport

A tip for all Scandinavian speakers: watch the latest episode of "Europakafé" by our Norwegian founding member Eastern Norway County Network (ENCN). Linda Carolina Ehnmark, transport advisor at Vestfold fylkeskommune, and Lotta Maria Möllerfalk, energy and environment advisor at Innlandet fylkeskommune, talk about green mobility and climate-neutral transport with Jon Petter Arntzen, head of the ENCN Secretariat. They explain how the active participation of Eastern Norwegian counties in the #ScandriaAlliance is contributing to sustainable regional development along the #ScanMed corridor and to achieve both the European Union's and Norway's climate goals. 🌍🚛 Watch the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/eNvMcAXi #ConnectingEurope #SustainableTransport
