It has been an exciting Battery Show North America last week with lots of good discussions about the current state and future direction of the battery industry. Advanced materials continue to be a key driver for enabling new chemistries and cell technologies. Once more this has been shown by the strong interest for our ultra-thin and robust HTA copper foils as well as our novel Cuprum copper paste.   We look forward to return to Detroit as exhibitor in 2025. During the upcoming #BatteryShowNorthAmerica #SCHLENK will relaunch the Aluminum-Copper clad foil.   The Al-Cu foil consists of two layers of metal that are joined mechanically in our proprietary roll-cladding technology. By stacking several layers of anodes and cathodes on top of each other the amount of packaging material can be reduced significantly which leads to higher energy densities at pack level.   The bipolar electrode material will soon be available within the Battery Foil Sample Kit and can be tested along with other anode foils. Only 2 more weeks until #SCHLENK will come back to the #BatteryShowNorthAmerica. After many years in Novi, MI the exhibition will move to Detroit this year where the event takes place at the Huntington Convention Center from October 7-10.   We are excited about the market launch of our #HTA®-520 High Tensile Alloy copper foil with reduced thickness in 6 µm only. In parallel we will also relaunch our Aluminum-Copper clad foil (Al-Cu) for bipolar cell designs that will soon be added to the Battery Foil Sample Kit.   Our technical team will be at booth #4515 to present our rolled metal foils for different battery and automotive applications. Today, it was my pleasure to attend a small ceremony in which our Head of Tech Service, Thomas Booz, handed over the responsibilities to Michael Fleischer. Thank you PINK GmbH Thermosysteme for the support and interest in testing the #Cuprum series of sintering pastes from CuNex GmbH. Two days of extensive testing at their facility in Germany enabled us to set up a stable process for both the hard tool and soft tool systems. The new low temperature pastes specially designed for large area sintering were successfully tested with both the soft and hard tool set ups and we look forward to exciting partnerships and collaboration moving ahead.
