#YouKnowYoureAtSoundCloud when office celebrations revolve around music 🎶 In honor of #BlackHistoryMonthUK 🇬🇧, our London team was treated to an intimate showcase for the winners of the #SoundCloud x Tileyard Education songwriting camp competition. Artists NAYANA AB and Richard Carter each took the mic 🎤 for a live performance and interview moderated by our team. This was a rare chance to hear about their camp experience and their thoughts on the evolution of Black-British music. That evolution is at the center of an inspiring project we’re proud to be a part of. “The Record Store & Black Music” explores the history of England’s independent record stores that specialize in Black music through a documentary, a book, and a podcast - we’re especially excited about producing an episode for the podcast. Shout out to the SoundClouders who showed their support at the project’s launch and special recognition goes to our own Director, Music Licensing & Partnerships Bina ‘B’ Mistry and 2FUNKY ARTS LTD for being the driving force behind this incredible movement ⚡ #MusicIndustry #London️
