This year, we received 100,436 entries from eleven countries around the world for the World Kids Colouring Day motto ‘Fantastic Forest’. We are pleased that, due to the high number of participants in World Kids Colouring Day, we are once again able to support the project ‘Future Opportunities through Sustainable Agriculture and Climate Protection in Laos’ of the children's rights organisation Plan International Deutschland e.V. with the maximum amount of 50,000 euros this year. The project will help 16 communities in the remote Bokeo region to cope with the droughts caused by climate change, adapt their agriculture and secure their livelihoods. Innovative and locally adapted agricultural strategies are designed to improve not only food security but also family incomes. Felix Scheinberger, our pigment arts pen brand ambassador, visited us at HQ in Nuremberg yesterday. After the actual meeting, he spontaneously sat down on the pavement opposite of our entrance and drew our HQ buildings. We think it's just sensational. New record participation in World Kids Colouring Day 2024 - we are absolutely overwhelmed. 🎇 The motto ‘Fantastic Forest’ for this year's World Kids Colouring Day on 6 May 2024 has inspired many young artists worldwide. By the end of July, a total of 100,436 works of art had been submitted to the various international competitions. This is a new record for the campaign: the 65,132 entries from the previous year - also more than ever before - were far exceeded. Participation was particularly high in Peru with 57,542 pictures and in Germany with 38,868 pictures. The “STAEDTLER world” was a guest at the STAEDTLER Summer Summit in Nuremberg. Three eventful days filled with lots of fun, good ideas, good atmosphere, valuable discussions, constructive exchanges and wonderful results are coming to an end. A special highlight of the Korean artists' visit to STAEDTLER in Munich was an afternoon of drawing with the artist Felix Scheinberger. He is a world-renowned artist and our guests were very excited to meet him, draw with him and spend time with him. The artists were particularly impressed by the versatility of our products and how well they can be combined with Felix Scheinberger's techniques. The drawing afternoon at the Viktualienmarkt was not only an opportunity to learn new skills, but also to develop and deepen one's own creativity. #staedtler #artists #drawing

Clay modellers in the automotive industry have been working worldwide with our industrial styling clays for years. We have published the first book on working with this material! It is impressive to look over the shoulder of modellers as they conjure models made of clay. To witness how a brown mass begins to take shape with twists and turns and exact lines. Clay models, hand-crafted, are still the starting point for what it ultimately a functional and aesthetic product, especially for automotive design. Jürgen Heinl, himself a modeller for the automotive industry, now an instructor at the Technical School for Product Design, Selb, unfurled his wealth of experience in this book. The outcome is a guide for creative individuals – from newcomers to experienced product designers – seeking to make their emotions perceptible and transform them into tangible models. We are pleased that this inspiring hands-on manual has now been released by avedition GmbH, Stuttgart, and its many working techniques and practical workshops will facilitate the entry into clay modelling, in addition to offering product design professionals new ideas. We had the great pleasure of welcoming a group of talented Korean artists to STAEDTLER. The visit was full of creativity and artistry. The programme included a workshop in Nuremberg, where they were able to mix their own ink and design a fully functional pen, as well as a factory tour. The programme also took them to Nuremberg's historic old town. The artists took the opportunity to capture the atmosphere and architecture of the city and turn their impressions into beautiful works of art. In addition to their experiences in Nuremberg, our guests spent a few more days in Bavaria, visiting the picturesque towns of Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Hohenschwangau. Of course, these experiences were also captured in fascinating works of art. STAEDTLER has been working with Lebenshilfe Lenkersheim at the Sugenheim site for around 15 years. Under the motto "It is normal to be different", the employees of Lebenshilfe support the STAEDTLER team After a long break due to the coronavirus, a joint event was finally organised again.
