🎉 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁! Launched in October 2023, the InnoImpact program from IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH helps startups that tackle important social and environmental issues and work toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 🌍 In just one year, InnoImpact has provided grants of up to €75,000 to 17 startups, supporting projects like SaferSpaces , which helps people call for help in emergencies, and VIVO Carbon gemeinnützige GmbH, which focuses on reforestation to protect the climate. Just to name two of many great startups! Part of Hamburg's broader social entrepreneurship plan, InnoImpact is led by the Ministry of Economics and Innovation Hamburg Innovativ to drive positive change through innovative solutions. Founded in 2021 by Alexander Weltzsch and Dennis Hilger, dealcode AI provides AI-powered tools that help sales teams prioritize leads and increase conversion rates. 👍Currently, around 100 B2B clients use Dealcode’s software to make data-driven sales decisions! Dealcode's platform leverages machine learning algorithms to analyse sales data from customer management systems, identifying patterns across over 150 factors. This allows sales teams to focus on high-potential deals, with an algorithm estimating the probability of closing each deal from 1% to 99%. Since mid-2023, the startup has introduced #AI agents that further automate sales processes by handling tasks like lead identification, outreach, and proposal creation. The company’s recent €1.8 million seed funding round reflects its growth trajectory. 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 €𝟮.𝟲𝗠 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗨𝗽𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 Hamburg’s biotech startup Infinite Roots (formerly known as mushlabs) has received €2.6 million in funding to turn whey - a common waste product from milk - into a valuable resource for sustainable food. Working with the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), Infinite Roots® will use whey to grow mycelium, a mushroom root structure, as a base for plant-based meat alternatives. Supported by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, this project aims to reduce the environmental impact of whey disposal while advancing green food technology. 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗢𝗻! 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘀 €𝟱𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 Körber Start-Hub At the closing event of the Next.Generation Inkubator by the Körber-Stiftung, HandsOn! was awarded €50,000 as the top startup among eight teams. Founders Elena Dwenger and Aylin Kitte are now one step closer to officially launching their venture, which aims to make skilled trades more accessible and appealing, particularly to women. The incubator programme supports startups with a social impact focus. Other standout projects this year included tiefpunkt. with AI for mental health in schools, UFUNDI promoting street art from the global South, and VisualMINT, an AR app for physics lessons.
