The Court of the Citizens of the World

Justizverwaltung

International tribunal for jurisdiction gaps. Ensures justice for victims, holds leaders accountable for rights abuses.

Info

The Court of the Citizens of the World is a People's Tribunal dedicated to Universal Human Rights, as defined by the United Nations. Despite significant progress in the post-WW2 era, universal human rights and democracy have experienced a decline since 2008. The International Criminal Court's efforts in international criminal jurisdiction face obstacles, such as vetoes and limited jurisdiction, enabling regimes to act without consequences, endangering their own citizens and other nations. To address this, an independent global tribunal has been established. This tribunal handles cases that fall outside the jurisdiction of official courts, providing victims and prosecutors an opportunity to bring forth charges against leaders and regimes that currently enjoy impunity.
